You can save the file to a drive and move it IE: thumb drive, or you can down load the software on the new computer and put in your Username and Password.

I guess i will have to use the thumb drive method as i doubt i can recover the user name and password.

You might contact the author and ask for your password again - he's pretty good with customer service ;)

Also a suggestion for future password issues. Sign up for a free email (gmail, hotmail, etc) and never send messages from it. Just write yourself and email with all your username/password combos. So even as you change your PC, you still have a permanent backup.

When will the new features be available? I was scanning the other day and thought I heard two streams at once. I am really looking forward to this feature.

Also, any thoughts about making this available on different platforms, including maybe smartphone apps?

Thanks,

Since this is just a hobby - summertime is not part of the year when I have free hours for another hobby ;)

I've been collecting suggestions and seeing how it works long-term, and expect to have a beta with more features out this fall.

Believe me Im not at all knocking this program! But doesnt in combination with this, RR live feeds, iphone apps etc. give more reason for the municipalities to go encrypted full time and/or use non-scannable system such as opensky?
Just that IMHO more of the public now has a chance to listen in even more so. That usually does tend to irritate pd depts?
Additionally instead of someone needing to buy a $500 digital scanner why not use something as above, so RS and Uniden can lose$ out?
Again its just that there are so many ways to listen in nowadays.

Course on the other hand sure it gets more involved with the hobby.

I dont want to derail this thread, but just something to look at from another point of view.

No. Municipalities already encrypt the stuff that needs to be private. I can't see too many PD's getting upset that Joe Public hears the scanner call for a drunk & disorderly at the local bar.

A few out of the thousands nationwide? Probably. In general? No.

Additionally instead of someone needing to buy a $500 digital scanner why not use something as above, so RS and Uniden can lose$ out?

If I really wanted to hear my local departments, I wouldn't use an online feed. 1) What happens when the fire is on channel 3, but the online scanner keeps checking all 10 frequencies? I miss transmissions. 2) There's always SOME sort of delay in live audio. It's never live. 3) What if I never want to hear the EMS rigs, but the online feed always has the ambulance channel active? 4) Show me a feed that runs 100% 24/7/365? 5) What if I want to go to the scene? Am I going to stick my iPhone to my ear, see the firefighter talking in the radio and hoping I hear it a minute later?

It's not a replacement for a scanner by any means. I listen to stuff that I can't get on my scanner - i.e. places hundreds of miles away. If the St Louis PD gets upset that I can hear their comms in Lansing, they are a little too touchy.

Lets get back on topic.

The product is excellent, and you can mute what you dont want to hear and hold on a channel - its great!

The part about listening to so and so county feed and always hearing the ambulance instead of what you want to hear. That is why I advocate people don't do full system feeds and they segment services and have a police feed and a fire feed seperate.

Again, the product is great and running multiple instances is nice too. Thanks for making it - keep up the great work.

Update?

A little heads up would be nice instead of an "automatic update". Anything in the works? Or is that automatic too.....

This is not the season of the year where spare time is readily available for programming ;)

There really isn't much more one can do with the program. Sure, you can work on the interface but other than that how could the program be improved?

The only change or update that I think could be implemented would be the ability to delete a feed from a bank. I can't seem to find that option. I use this program daily. Great program!!!
