SDRSharp Build 1191

This might be a dumb question, but it won't be my first. Is there a particular install process for new versions or is it a matter of copying and pasting the new files into the proper directory?

I downloaded version 1192, but don't want to mess with it since I have it running so well.

I was wondering about this. If nothing else, I'd have to add the Unitrunker line in again. I just don't know if there are any new lines in the config file.

So, can I just copy and paste everything else into the SDRSharp directory or does it require an actual install?

What files need to be pasted in to upgrade to a newer version. On the website on the download page I see an RTLSDR plugin. Is that needed also? If I run the RTLSDR install script will that be OK and would all I need to do is replace my recording pluging again since it would overwrite the new one I downloaded? (ie. the one that doesn't record silence and create 4Mb/min files?). Thanks.

I forgot to say, I'd like to try a different version than the one I have since my control panes on the left appear to be cut off (see how the right side of the panes are not there? In the recorder the dropdown for Samplerate is not there....but all the panes are cutoff.

Download it like You did the first time. You might want to over write your config file, because your missing a few things.
The just copy, and past it to your sdrsharp folder.

Where do I find the Scanner Plugin? I have 1193 running (finally) after having to start from scratch. For some reason, the config file that I installed with 1193 didn't have the line for the USB dongle. I have it back to where it should be and it's working fine with Unitrunker and DSD+.

I have just downloaded SDR Sharp version 1192 and I have it running with the Frequency Manager and Scanner plugin. Right now I am just playing with it, and getting used to it. Certainly is a lot of fun having a scanner on your computer that will do infinitely more than any scanner on the market, lol.

And a question about version 1193. I notice that whenever I change the band, the mode defaults back to AM. I never noticed it doing that before. Is that new, or I just never noticed it before?

Both, the RTLSDR plugin is updated whenever a new version of SDRSharp is released. That's why the revision numbers match. See attachment -

Aaaaargh....I'm still getting the Trunker Plugin error for 1193. Will this ever be fixed?

Edit: Sorry, I see in another post that there is an updated .DLL attached. Got it working now.

I installed 1193 and Trunker and it works fine. What is the specific error message? I'm by no means an expert, but I've spent hours since Saturday working setting up my computer and have probably generated errors even the authors don't know exist. :lol:
