Hello. I'm new to scanning and newer to SDRs, but I do actually have 75% of it figured out. I know how to use sdr++, pdw, sdrtrunk, satsagen, dsd+, and all that stuff. After I figured out sdrtrunk, I discovered it was comical Ly easy to create a broadcastify calls node and a feed. So I did both, as there was only 1 feed and in my area and it was the fleetnet system. So I created a calls node for both sites of my cities radio system, and then created a feed. Everything has been going fine except for 2 things:

1. My laptop is connected to an Ethernet cable. However, when I wake up, there's ALWAYS 5-7 emails from Broadcastify saying my calls nodes and feed is offline, then right after (usually 5-30 minutes after) there's an email saying it's online again. So for some reason, in the middle of the night ONLY, they go offline temporarily and then come back online, even though there's no evidence that my internet connection has gone down, and it would be strange if that's the case, ie, why the hell would my internet come offline and online multiple times a night and ONLY at night.

2. Today I woke up and wasn't hearing as much traffic as I'm used to. I noticed that one of the control channels says "idle". I restarted the app, no luck, restarted the computer, no luck. Only one control channel was working. So I created 2 NEW channels from the RR tab, with the exact same settings. And it worked... Both control channels said "Control" and not one saying "Control" and the other "idle". Also, when I saw one was idle, calls would pop up but instead of it saying "call" or "encrypted" it said "teardown". My understanding of what teardown means is that the channel is stuck between 2 variables? After I created the 2 new channels, I pressed play on both, and boom, everything worked as normal.

Does anyone have any insight as to what could be going on and how I can prevent it or fix it from happening?

Thank you.

Your computer and / or USB ports may be going into power saving mode overnight, so make sure that you dig through all sleep settings for every interface and device, including the screen. Disable sleep / power saving on all.

What exact system and site(s) are you trying to receive?

This is the developer's definition of "Teardown," in his own words:

"Teardown is the channel state between when the call is ended and either a)the channel gets reset for the next call, or b) the channel gets removed.

Channels in teardown are not supposed to hang around like that. This indicates that there's a problem in the code that is supposed to automatically remove those channels. If you find channels sitting in TEARDOWN state, you can right-click on the channel and choose 'Disable' to manually remove them."

What I have noticed is when SDRT has been running a while and the mem usage is high, when I open the playlist editior, it takes a few seconds and causes any voice channels that were in use at the time, to change to teardown.

Do you have all the listed control channels for both sites entered into each site?

On each site, bump up the freq rotation delay. If your receiving a weak signal or your ppm is off, it may need more time to see it. I run all my sites at 1200ms

Hmm okay, I will try that. Do you know the name of the setting, so I can navigate to it easier? And here is the feed, in the notes I listed everything about it. Just started it to see if there's interest, but not much so far. https://www.broadcastify.com/manage/feed/40598

Settings. Depending on the computer, they can be found in BIOS, in Device Manager, and Power Management. I'm currently working on a Mac, so I can't screenshot anything, but you find the info online and elsewhere in these forums.

Yes but what I mean is do you know where in settings because I just looked and couldn't see anything about going into power save mode at night

Okay i see. and yes, all control and alternate are selected,

All are selected? All you should just be entered into each site. When in the channels tab of the playlist editor, when you start a site, it will scroll thru them until it finds an active control channel. The pic I posted above is how the freqs should look in a site, Of course your freqs will be different and may be more than 4.

These are my power and usb settings.

Very wonderful response but regretfully I'm still having the problem 😕 ugh. The only thing that's fixed is the idle control channel and the teardown

download a very small app named "Caffeine" It prevents your computer from going to sleep.
