Attached is the favorite group that yielded 50 channels per second. sorted by frequency.
All my current favorite group have been reorganized so that band shifts are reduced, resulting in better performance in scanning. Also gave the most important system in each favorite group a 0 quick key.

Feeling much better about the SDS-100 this morning.

Try again with END CODE set to either Analog or Ignore and advise if it affects the issue.

Here ya go! Much better performance on digital audio and reception with End Code set to Ignore. It just holds up on the voice channel after the transmission has finished. This is evidenced by the move to the control channel at the end of the transmission, then the return to the voice frequency with RSSI values <110dBm and noise values average 20000+ indicating white noise. This video was taken in the same exact spot as the last one with the same antenna. Video below:

Thank you baby Jesus! This latest firmware has made the Phoenix rwc system completely audible from my home location in North Phoenix. All other firmware before this would not even open squelch.

Follow-up

Upman, here's a new issue for me. When listening to a CON+ system the SDS100 isn't able to decode one particular site for whatever reason.

Signal strength is very good (and should be) but it never seems to read the CC properly and lock onto valid conversations.

I had Airspy & DSD+ running at the same time and the SDS100 never picked up the voice traffic. I could see the scanner sitting on the proper frequency but the LCN value never populated and no voice ever came thru. This was across a few channels.

Log here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zggi2f7jlx...Fail.zip?raw=1
System: https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=7571

(Note I'm just giving the link for reference as the RR DB isn't very accurate on this system.)

Notes:

1. This system uses multiple sites and I avoided any irrelevant sites -- so it's only sitting on Site 10.
2. The frequencies/LCNs are correct.
3. This control channel sits on a typical 6.25khz CON+ control channel; however, immediately next to it is a NXDN voice channel. It's very narrow but on the SDR I have my B/W set to 8,000 Hz so I don't pick up the offending signal.
4. RE: #3 I don't know what the bandwidth of the SDS100 is on a given 6.25 khz step but it didn't look like the NXDN signal was affecting the CC but it's hard to know for sure.
5. Noise values do get rather crazy high at times. I've seen them as high as 50K and as low as in the hundreds.
6. In the log file, most of the voice activity is at the end of the log (due to the early morning hours) but the only active TGID was 11998357 so hopefully the scanner is detecting the correct TGID.
7. The voice channels do not have any offending signals near them from what I can see on the SDR and are all use plenty of power output.

Latest firmware log file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/jp5kygseqf7vdvb/Site10.zip?raw=1
SDR Sharp Screenshot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zh1wzmmndb9btkm/45443125.JPG?raw=1
System Hold Time(s): 0 sec, 1 sec (no change)
Site Modulation: NFM, AUTO (no change)

Upman, here's a new log file of this troubling DMR CON+ Site 10.

Today I was driving around and decided to capture a debug log since I was only scanning this Site 10 and not hearing any voice traffic. I did eventually hear a single voice transmission but I cannot recall if I was running the log then. I know the site configuration is correct but it's still having trouble with this site.

Notes:

1. I've attached a screenshot of SDR# at the Site 10 CC frequency. You can clearly see this nearby signal which I believe to be affecting the SDS100 receive of this particular CC.

2. From the waterfall I presumed this was NXDN but it's not. I have no clue what this is. Oddly, upon transmitting all I can hear is dead air. It's not an open mic per se but it's definitely a strong NFM carrier. This nearby signal is at 454.42575 Mhz.

3. If the SDS100 is fixed on 454.43125 (the CC frequency) and has a typical NFM bandwidth then I'm thinking the CC data is getting notched during every transmission of this nearby signal. As you can see in the screenshot I have my Airspy B/W set @ 8,000hz which seems to give proper decode thru DSD+

sure has been quiet in here the last couple days. Are we going to see another Beta firmware or even full public release this week?

SDS100:
I do have a possible bug with this version.
I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this.

On a Motorola Type II SmartZone system (800Mhz), intermittently a transmission will just drop audio. The radio is still tuned to the talkgroup and the RSSI doesn't drop or the noise seem to have increased. A 436 nearby will keep receiving the entire transmission and both are on the same site, so I know it isn't the system.

It is so intermittent that it is difficult to capture a log.

I'll keep trying (to log the anomaly), but I wanted to see if anyone else has been experiencing this.

I’ve seen that on VHF some railroad transmissions
Check your End Code setting

UPMan has hinted that it currently are a bug in the end code detection and it should for now be set to ignore. It could be related to if a system uses message trunking or transmission trunking, if it goes directly to the control channel whenever a users releases his PTT or stays on the voice channel until the TG delay times out.
