Before I Send it to the dreaded repair... SDS100 had been working fine, started acting strange. shows full bars signal on multiple (4) P25 P1 and P2 systems but now does not show DATA and does not see any traffic, seems to cycle through control channels. I know the CC are correct and 1) this has worked for years, and 2) another scanner uses the same control channels and works fine. Tried hard reset, reloading the programs. I have found that sometimes if I cycle it off and on multiple times sometimes it comes up with the DATA and voice. then it works perfect until I power cycle it again. Anyone seen this? thanks

the wife and i just received the 100 about 3 weeks ago.
we have not turned it off yet.
so my fix would be to not turn it off.
i have asked on other forums and ask the question for a laugh...
what do you mean "turn it off" ? there is on off switch ?
and that also means that the radio can stay on not only overnight, but for days, weeks or more.

the Hoosier state, baby.
What value does RSSI show? If it is -40, you have the cold solder joint problem.
I don’t know about that. My county has two P25 P1 sites. I live within three miles of one tower and ten of another and on both sites my SDS100 RSSI pings at -40 to -60 at any given time with no reception issues.
Please correct me if I’m wrong, but in the past couple of years hasn’t Uniden fixed that cold solder issue? Of course I don’t know how old OP’s scanner is, so it could be a cold solder joint, but I digress.

@epersson ...
Here is something to try... The ant connector was putting pressure on the internal board connector and popping the cold solder joint/joints loose...
