So I am in Sarasota County, FL. I have an SDS100 that is locking onto the Manatee zone (1) of the Manatee-Sarasota system (855.3875) without fail and is tracking flawlessly. I have an SDS200 next to it programmed identically and same antenna setup...the SDS200 keeps sporadically losing the 855.3875 control channel. The only thing I found checking programming is the SDS200 had placed a band plan in the site programming which the SDS100 had not. I cleared that but it did not solve the problem. Reluctantly I admit I am stumped and open to suggestions.
Thank you

Clearing the band plan will not make a difference. For a P25 system, like Manatee-Sarasota, the scanner gets the band plan from the & fills in the blanks on the system, when it is scanning the trunked system. So, while you cleared it, next time the SDS200 scans the system, the band plan will reappear.

As tvengr has already suggested, try a different filter setting.

Remember, if you are using Sentinel to program both - the favorite lists will be identical.

Only the profiles could be different, if you have one set up for each... (I have both also and I have a 100 and a 200 profile for different display settings and GPS baud rate)

Check the squelch setting on the SDS200. In Sentinel, I just discovered that the squelch setting in the profile works OK if the Target Model is set to SDS100, but is grayed out and cannot be changed if the Target Model is SDS200. I would appreciate it if someone would check and verify if that is true in their copy of Sentinel..

That is correct, but if you change it for one you change it for all. I can adjust it for my 436 or 100 and it changes it for all three.

That's becuase the SDS200 has seperate squelch controller and the exact physical position of the controller sets the sq value. On the SDS100 it's a software controller that works from the dial knob that has no fixed position so you can program that sq value from Sentinel. After that initial programming the last used sq value are stored on the SD card and will be re-used at next power on.
