Finally took the plunge and ordered myself an SDS100 from Bearcat Warehouse. Should see it either Friday or early next week. Can't wait to get my grubby little paws on it.

I think the complaints at least for me is the learning curve. I’m pretty tech savvy and wasn’t expecting a scanner packed with some many features and capabilities. As I learn more and more I become less frustrated lol enjoy your new toy !

Nice purchase! I look forward to seeing how you get on with it. I'm new to the hobby, and haven't made a purchase yet. Stuck on the fence between the BCD436HP and the SDS100. Most traffic in my area is EDACS / ProVoice, but I expect them to start upgrading the system this year.

I under stand that. I find sentinel a bit clumsy too. I wish you could cut and past in it.

You can, just like you can in Excel. You have to open the editor. Right-click on a favorite list and select Program Favorite List.

Thanks, will have to try that. I would like to see someone do an in depth video on sentinel. I have seen some good ones but they seem to just gloss over stuff. Same with the radio itself. Have like a video manual.

It’s great!! I loved the portability of mine until the battery clip broke and they want $80 to fix a $5 part. now it sits on a shelf. Enjoy it while you can.

Does the gps use the mini #2 or micro #1 usb?
