Hello, and have a nice day to everyone.

I need help with my Uniden SDS200. It cuts aprox. 0.5-1 second of all transmissions at the beginning and, sometimes, at the end. So I can't hear what speaker have said at the beginning, espessially if he turns on radio station and start speak immidiately. Result the same on conventional (analog) and digital transmission. For example, speaker have said "Hello there!", and scanner plays it as "there!".

Also, I use ProScan, and on every record I hear noise at the beginning (0.5-1 sec), and then there is a transmission with a cut.

It's nice if there was at least 1 second delay before speaking. But many radio users are "talented" and starts speeking before transmission begins.

Is there any solution to fix this issue? Scanner has the latest firmware.

Does it do it when you have the scanner stopped on a channel/frequency? Stop the scanner on what you want to hear… easiest way to do it is when the channel is busy push the hold button. Then wait for another transmission. If you are hearing everything good. But if you are scanning the radio has to first find the busy channel before it stops and listens, which could be what you are experiencing. On the backend of the transmissions where you say the scanner takes off before the transmission has ended… check to see if all your priority settings are set to off.

Thank you. I will check all you have said and then give answer.

Also - do you have Close Call enabled? I don't have experience with it on the SDS radios, but on my 536 and 125AT some settings for Close Call will produce a quick drop / resume in an active transmission as the radio looks for Close Call signals.
