Hi everyone.
I have a Sears programmable scanner model number 934.36390600 .
It requires a code book for programming, and card that gets programed. I can't find any info on either item. I hate to see this nice unit get trashed for lack of these 2 items. Any info or source for these would be greatly appreciated.

This thread from 2009 might be of interest:

I believe this scanner was likely made for Sears by Electra/Bearcat. Here is a link to the Bearcat 101 manual that includes info on the programming codes.

Since it requires a card, I believe that is an SBE Optiscan with Sears badging.

G&G Communications (link below) may still sell reproductions of the programming cards. Contact them to find out:

Attention SBE Optiscan Owners... We now carry professionally
reproduced Optiscan cards which replace the original plastic cards that
are no longer available. These cards require a paper punch to program
and are available for $10.95 for a package of three.

This thread contains an attachment for an Excel spreadsheet that calculates the programming codes for "punching" the cards. Of course, be careful with any attachment and scan it for viruses!

The attached zip file might be helpful. The code book is at vtda.org/docs/radio/Sears/SearsScannerCodebook934-36390600.pdf. For UHF it only lists channels on 25 kHz spacing. The radio actually can be programmed in 5 kHz steps so it is possible to get reasonably close to the channels on 12.5 kHz spacing. The zip file may help with that.

I bought one of those new way back when, and still use it. Check my post #27 here:

and my post #29 a couple down from that one.
