The favorites and the full database are different things.

The favorites are stored here if using the Sentinel default folder . Don't delete anything here.
C:\Users\bob\OneDrive\Documents\Uniden\BCDx36HP\FavoriteLists

Can you go to that folder. You should see the index file f_list.cfg and a file for every favorite starting with f_000001.hpd
I copy and pasted the "C:\Users\bob\OneDrive\Documents\Uniden\BCDx36HP\FavoriteLists" & it said no results. I am very confused.

I forgot to edit out my name. Go to Documents\Uniden\BCDx36HP\FavoriteLists
I found it.

This is in a different location than the program files. I have Uniden and Uniden2 in my program files.

Thanks for the help. I need to get to work. I will take this up tomorrow night or Saturday. I greatly appreciate all of the help. I don't know what I did. I have been programing my 436HP & SDS 100 for many years now. This has never happened.

To top it off, I was thinking the SD was corrupted. Hence, I reformatted the wrong drive & wiped out all of my FX photographs. What a day.

See this thread.

Thank you for helping. This seems to hit the nail on the head. When my Sentinel headache leaves, I will try to read it. For now, I am going to the rescue farm & talk to Mary Jane, LOL.

Did you (the OP) unzip it and install it?
As usual, I will need to ask for a well-done dish of crow, which I'm about to eat.

Uniden was not responsible for my major foible. Truthfully, I own my dimwitted efforts. This was purely associated with the downloading of the Sentinel & not paying attention to the administrator. I do better downloading in Edge.

However, I have a question. I don't recall ever having a multi-layered firmware update. This started the confused state of mind for me. Will this be the norm in the future. If so, I am going to be very careful.

Thanks for the response.

By 'multi-layered firmware update' do you mean the main firmware and the sub firmware?

Updating of the sub firmware should not happen as often as the main firmware, but it will happen.

Yes, that is what I am talking about. The next time one if offered, I will be getting some advice. I would rather pull the main and sub firmware into the firmware folder of my SDS 100 than get tangled up in the one on Sentinel. I don't recall ever having this much trouble getting my radio up to date. Thanks for responding. This happened when I was getting ready to update Galveston talk groups for Mardi Gras. Thanks.

Sentinel just does the same thing you are talking about.
Yes, it does, but not the last time firmware was offered. That is what started this drama.

For those of us who rely on the platform to actually initiate a complete firmware upgrade, it generally works fine. I don't ever want to jack around with these files. I expect Sentinel to function as stated, "update firmware."

The friend who helped me helped me navigate out of the new firmware and load the previous version.

I don't give a rip about a waterfall. I can assure you, I will be much more cautious with any future updates.

So you are saying the latest beta should not have been made public?

No, there is no reason that it should not be made public. However, a disclaimer might be helpful for buffoons like myself. I am not swinging a bat with the "big boys." I simply don't understand the difference between types of firmware.

All I am saying is that I am going to be more measured in my responses with this radio. Before I do something stupid like updating this firmware, which has not been a problem for me in the past, I am going to check in with folks I know.

Let me make this perfectly clear in order to avoid a defensive posture. This "is not" the fault of Uniden. I own this one. I simply should have been more cautious.

Thanks for your responses.

I would like to put this puppy to sleep & move on with life.
