Bear with me as I don't know if this has been found before OR if it can be replicated by anyone else.

My scanner was running, I turned off all of my favorites and just had the Full Database scanning. I opened Siren on my 6 Plus and while listening decided I was scanning to far (as in range) for my liking. I changed the range, through Siren, from what it was set at (20 miles) to 15 miles. Siren returned to a blank scanning screen (no departments showing that it was in fact scanning). I went to the actual unit and found "Scan Mode, Nothing to scan" displayed. went through the menu on the unit and Full Database was still enabled and all my favorites were still disabled. I turned the Full Database off, then back on and got the same message to display. I powered down the unit and powered back up, still the same display, no dice.

So, I took the clue that maybe I needed to force write the Full Database to the scanner by hooking up to Sentinel. No dice, seems as though I have lost the ability to scan just the Full Database.

Thoughts, ideas? Is anybody else brave enough to try to replicate this? Uniden or Paul, want to weigh in?

Help please.

Happens all the time to me. I just deselect and reselect and let the scanner reboot. Saves me from having to pull the scanner out of the truck and into the house. Or pulling the SD Card and taking that in the house. Of course you can only do that on the scanner itself not in SIREN.

Thanks for the response, however, I've tried that. I've actually tried everything I possibly know to do, and I still haven't been able to scan just the Full Database. When just the Full Database is selected for scanning I get the dreaded, "Scan Mode, Nothing to Scan" message.

Well, since I don't use the FULL Data Base I guess I wouldn't know. All I use are my FL's which I created to rid myself of unwanted crap. When I turn them off and back on at the scanner it goes back to normal.

I haven't found the Siren App Range button to accomplish anything. Perhaps there is a bug, or a future feature.

On the chance of it being a bug, if I was in your Jake's shoes, I'd set the Range Value and re-enter the zipcode via the scanner's keypad. If it was a bug, I could see how the scanner's lat/lat settings may have been set to 0-0, a place in the ocean with nothing to scan. (Admittedly this would be a shot in the dark).

Well, I'll be damned. I didn't have to do anything with the Range however, re-entering my zip code seemed to set the scanner straight. I now have my Full Database again!

Thanks ofd8001!

Wonder how that would work as my 536HP is connected to a GPS?
