It's stunning their "Flagship" scanners are missing their main "FlagShip" features that made people want to lay down some decent cash over a year ago.

Wasn't a hater when I was one of the first to receive the 436HP 13 months ago. Only after delay and more delays has my faith in Uniden been completely lost.

Haters just gotta hate. The fact that they blame others for thinking as they think is just proof it's nothing more than hate.

And protectors are going to protect. Regardless of the outcome.
Just saying. If you said to give them a few months after the release, fine.
Give them a year, ok, what choice do we have.
13 months later and there still working the bugs out and still no beta app in the app store. I don't blame people turning into haters.
If it take another year you will still be protecting.

True UPMan has been providing updates but those updates have been coming up short most of the times. But stuff happens.

Per Uniden UPMan FB Page:

App version 1.0.9 has a updated status from iTunes Connect of "Waiting for Review".

:roll::roll: Wow... This must mean that the next generation of BCDx96HP's are right around the corner too in typical Uniden fashion!:roll::roll:

Could be true though, it's couldn't enough across the country, so hell may have frozen over!

That's pretty good news. I'm sure there are lots of places to update this information and he may haven't had the opportunity to get around to this place. Hopefully he'll post something in the Siren App sticky when he gets a moment.

I hope Uniden doesn't charge $$ for the app, or have those stupid "in-app" purchases.

We know the app is in closed beta testing because of the Upman video recently. Only way to get an app on an iPhone is through the App Store. I really don't think Paul has a JB iPhone.

It's now a waiting game with Apple now. Apps have been taking longer and longer before approval. Especially in the past 6 months. Let hope Uniden realizes this and triple checks their app before submitting because a small bug can take a few weeks to be approved (even if Uniden fixes it 0 day)

App approval process is taking longer and longer because of all the shenanigans developers try to pull nowadays . I would trust Uniden WAY before 95% of the other app developers.

It appears the 536 firmware contains the code to work with the iPhone app (and maybe android), so it's just a matter of a few days to few weeks.

I can see a speckle of light at the end of the tunnel....

The app will be free. We might offer some pay options in the future (that is predicated on thinking up something that will require significant effort or licensing that we would have to recoup and that would be cool/useful enough for a significant number of people to want to chip in for).

He doesn't have any iPhone. He mentioned that in another thread where he said that he's anxious for the Android version of Siren to be released.

In the US the iPhone has more market share, but in most of the rest of the world Android has more market share.

Actually, I had posted in that thread, first (at 1:30PM) but it is in a fully moderated forum.

But the real question is how many iPhone users are scanner listeners much less have a 536HP?

I would gather than more Android users are likely scanner listener, but who knows?

I just know why too many women love their iPhone, White Range Rovers, Lunch with the girls at the Country Club and had no idea how to pair their phone with the BT in the Range Rover. See far too many women driving $50k+ cars that clearly have BT, but they are jabber jawing on the phone glued to their head!

I'm not sure how this contributes to the thread. For the record I see just as many men jabber jawing on the phone glued to their head.

I'm a woman. I don't own an iPhone but I do own an iPad. I've been reading as much as I can before my Scanner arrives on Wednesday. I look forward to finding out more information about the Siren app.

Actually yes! You should have bought a lottery ticket. The desktop version was announced a few days after you posted this.

Where? The BCD996P2 was announced, but that's not a replacement for the BCD536HP.
