TG 9522 on Berkeley County site

From recordings -TG 9522 active on 3/11 from 12:40 to 12:55 with an exercise. Squad 5, Engine 16 and Truck 16 working (simulated) Fire Board with a fire at the north end of the parking lot. Simulated Fire Board calls to Company 20 and Company 60 (which are both Berkeley County companies).

Any ideas on who uses TG 9522?

I picked up another tech testing another radio at 4:00 PM this afternoon. This time the TGID was 3927. The conversation was:

"100 Randolph Golf." (I think he said "Golf")
"100 Go ahead."
"How does this radio sound?"
"Clear."
"Have another test on a mobile."

I didn't hear anything more after that.

I checked the DB, and 39xx seems to be on the far side of the state: Upshur, Pendleton, Pocahontas, Webster, and Randolph counties.

I guess this guy could have been in Randolph County, and I just got lucky.

3927 is RandolphCom Starting to pick up more and more chatter on 3927 off the Elkins tower.

Is there anybody in the Glenville (Gilmer Co) or Diana (Northern Webster Co) who would be willing to tune to 460.15 and see if you get a solid copy on a SIRN control channel? If you do, we all would appreciate it if you would gather any/all site information that you can for that site and post it here [or submit it to the DB].

It is suspected to the the Diana site, but it could also be the Gilmer site. Neither have been confirmed online as of yet, but one of them is. So if you are in / near one of those two areas and are willing to help me out [and I know not many are willing to help with anything I have a hand in], it would be much appreciated.

Need the usual - RFSS / Zone, Site ID, alternate CC, site neighbor listing. If you don't have a trunking program, you'll still be able to get enough useful info such as the RFSS / Site ID.

Thanks to anyone willing to check.

Possible SIRN Site

Northern Lincoln Co. Possibly and up and coming [or even possibly online] SIRN site. License is for Tri-River Transit, but it's a P25 trunked license and Tri-River is already confirmed to be using SIRN. So my guess is that it would be a part of SIRN but having some affiliation with TRT (funding, grant request, whatever).

See http://forums.radioreference.com/we...ver-transit-lincoln-surrounding-counties.html

I believe it still isn't turned up yet -- they are still awaiting FCC approval for freqs for the site. At least that is what I was told by someone [not wvscanner] who lives in Raleigh Co some months back.

There are many pending licenses for SIRN that haven't been acted upon in months. Most of those licenses are licenses where the typical 453/460 freqs were not requested [because they are out out of available 453/460 freqs in many areas] and instead what is usually business pool frequencies were being requested. Apparently that imposes quite a delay on FcC processing.

Then again, I really know nothing about the process and only base what I'm saying on what I was told before and what I have determined in my own mind to be teh case. I could be wrong.

At any rate, Jeff (wvscanner) would be the first one to let us all know when the Beckley site is online. I think he keeps close tabs on that.

I've been watching these frequencies...no action yet.
County volunteer fire units have been active in Raleigh County on SIRN.
Beckley fire trucks have UHF antennas now but BFD is still dispatching on VHF-Hi.

Since Jeff has been saying that the Glen Jean tower is weak the closer you get to Fayetteville,I got fluctuating signals last night when doing a tune for the control channel frequency,it comes and goes but I can get it(when you have trouble hearing I get bored easy and start checking stuff), So it's reach can go my way. I should have my hearing fixed hopefully this week, but I'm not promising anything :p
