The SEARCH mode is a great idea. In the metro St. Louis area I have to lock out about 16 Metro Transit TG's though or they will take over the statewide system

ID Scan will "isolate" your listening to the talk groups you have programmed.

You can hear a VIP (President, Vice President, Senator, etc) being escorted.
Listen to the escort, second by second, street by street. on Starcom.

However, local police feel the need to encrypt,
So you can NOT even listen to a simple local traffic stop.
"For officer safety"

I guess a local police officer safety, is more important than the safety of the President of the USA....

Funny how that works...
Many departments understand transparency.

While corrupt departments choose to encrypt and hide
And give their community members the middle finger.

Would it be feasible logistics wise to get the keys on everyone's radios (since a lot of the motorcade crew is made up of various officers from different depts i assume) to encrypt motorcade stuff?

Public Information Office

Cadet Class 148 will be arriving at the various Troops on Monday. Many new radio signatures and radio ID's to log!

Around 1145 hrs. today (I forgot yesterday was a holiday so everyone started today), on 3-A, "Emergency Button Radio Testing" class was in session. I was able to catch 13 of the 15 probationary troopers RID's and radio signatures in Troop 3: 3-523 through 3-537 all with RID's in the 10075xx/11075xx range. A couple of them have alluded me, but they won't escape me for long...LOL!

Something I noticed is 3-511 though 3-517 didn't receive new radio signatures after the probationary period ended. Will eventually be 3-415 though 3-421 unless something has changed?
