Update after listening to recording

The start time was 10:18 AM. The callsign referencing the UAV was Bully 01 and the UAV was at 6000 feet. Bully 01 was RTB departing the range. Anyone else in the are have recordings? I reviewed all of the other recordings but they don't mention the callsign of the drone but it most certainly had to be a military drone if it was at 6000 feet. I agree the callsign Legion was mentioned a few times in other recordings as well as Legion 34 and it was some sort of operations for range activity. All heard on 233.45

Harrisburg also had a drone report I'm told, so I don't believe they were talking about military UAV's. Also, I recall Legion is one of the callsigns for Operations at PA ANG Air Station Fort Indiantown Gap.

FTIG has a UAV training component on base.

They've even crashed now and then.

The UAV training facility is located NE of the runway at Muir AAF, near Shuey Lake.

Thanks for all of the great information! I was unaware of that program at the Gap. This was also the first time that I've hear mention of it over the radio.

Regards,
Robert

I've been listening to and watching the action at Oshkosh. KC-135 59-1516 UPSET51 is circling the area and it sounds like some F-16s will be joining up.

In addition to the Air Force Reserve, the Air National Guard will also support the year of the tanker this year by having a KC-135R from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on static display with a Lockheed F-16C Fighting Falcon from Madison, Wisconsin. The Milwaukee wing of the Wisconsin Air National Guard’s KC-135s will also be supporting numerous other passes including a flyover to start the Wednesday night air show, where one will climb far above Wittman Regional Airport to enter a refueling track where it will refuel a B-1B at flight level 200. On Friday, the Milwaukee KC-135 will drag a two-ship of AFRC F-22 Raptors over to start the Friday Salute to Veterans air show. Attendees will also see the Milwaukee KC-135s over Oshkosh again on Sunday.

This King Air will be flown into Tipton (Ft Meade MD) Monday weather permitting. And at some point they are cutting the fence and towing it to the NSA museum for display.

Guys,

Looks like you have to cut & paste the last part of the link to get it to work.

I clicked on the link then pasted the MgE2KiPd3xg?feature=player_ detailpage part then hit enter and it worked for me

Navy ea-18g @ kavp

Navy EA-18G sitting on ramp at KAVP Airport in Avoca, PA. Guessing it's the flyover for this afternoons Nascar race at Pocono.

Tail # 166895 marked as Vader

Anyone have any more information? I'll post picture shortly if I can get close enough.

Very Nice! From VAQ-209 Star Warriors hence the Vader name,Remember these guys when they used
to be based at Andrews flying EA-6B's :) Now based way out at NAS Whidbey with all the EA-18G types.

A pic I took back in 2010 at Andrews Open House when they flew EA-6B Prowlers.
In 2013 they headed West..

No flyby, or it wasn't televised

Oddly enough, I recorded the race, heard the national anthem, no flyby heard the command to start your engines. I wonder why it was here? I heard it flew yesterday, not sure what for although there was a truck race at Pocono yesterday but other than that I'm not sure. Great sight, quite odd for this area. Did get the audio for the takeoff today as the radio wasn't set to record.

Yeah Robert many Navy Reserve types on the weekends starting Friday
disperse to odd places around the USA, Then fly back to home base Sunday.
Have heard and seen occasional single F/18F arrive KILG Wilm,De from Oceana then depart later in the weekend. Sometimes I think Navy Reserve pilots pick places near their old home stomping grounds for their weekend deployment exercise, just Reserve Naval officers borrowing the sports car for the weekend :)

Once again saw a C-17 doing low level maneuvering along US 50 near Arrington Rd (Chesapeake College.) People along 50 were hitting their brakes when the plane lined up wrt to highway. Also saw a Pax River SAR MH-60S at ESN. Crew probably eating lunch before practicing approaches to landing on the crosswind runway.
