Hello gentlemen, My son called me at wrrk while he was watching three A-10s landing at Portland, Maine (KPWM). I stopped by after work to see for myself. They were parked at the MAC Jets FBO. Only had my cell phone with me so terrible zooms trying to get tail numbers. I'll try to attach a pic or two. Sure look like Martin State birds. Not sure why they are here. I will try to find out.

2021z Update - Just heard HOG 81 flight of three on my home radios working FAA FSS on 255.4 announcing they're entering VR-840 500' 500 kts. My son called from the Portland airport saying the three A-10s were gone so they are up playing low level in the VR route right now. We'll see where they land when done.

2045z Update - Getting them faintly on 266.6 (thank you for the freq Tech792) as they popped up from the VR route. Some talk about going North into Canada or possibly to Bangor. Monitoring...

2055z Update - A-A faded out. Spotted them on ADSB Exchange crossing into Canada near Saint-Georges. AE1908 / 79-0108 plotting position. Looked at my crappy cell close ups and could make out the numbers on the nose for the other jets. 104 and 087. That's all I have for now.

2110z Update - Well, I think I just figured it out. There is an airshow at CFB Bagotville this weekend. I bet that is why they were heading up to Canada. Must have stopped in Portland for some gas and food before their final leg of the trip. Here's a link to the airshow website:

The Snowbirds were just down Ocean City MD this past weekend.

Looks like Camp CAP going on today..
Hearing A/A 292.800 in the CAP and KC-10 Nation 62 just off McGuire 1900z to Huntess 260.900 for Guard Dog.
Fighters NOBLE 11 also heard climbing out of Atlantic City ZDC 285.400 to ZDC Swann 360.700
Side note a SHADY 13 MC-12 US Army up and about heard talking on common 123.450

2200z Second time this weekend but RCH 981 C-5M Travis inbound Dover from out West trying
to contact a RCH760 on 123.450 which is like A/A CH19 CB radio for civilian pilots...
UHF A/A has such limited range as VHF gets you much more distance. 303.000 used to be popular AMC A/A but maybe due to interference with home garage door openers etc they quit using it.
McGuire CP UHF 237.150 is lousy in radio distance range but most Mil pilots know to get McGuire CP much sooner/clearer use the 134.100 CP freq.

NJ f16s were using 292.8 and 311.0 in Duke MOA a few times for a/a. Seems like they have been changing up their freqs all the time now??

2 OH F16s went there also. Must have been a ground display. Had another callsign too that went there also. Panama 01 was the callsign. They both contacted Montreal Center on 245.000
