The German Air Force Tornado's that took part in Red Flag have all arrived at Bangor. They are scheduled
to depart back to Europe this weekend, but they are still waiting for their second tanker to arrive.

Arriving Thursday were: GAF E13, GAF E31, GAF E32 and GAF E33.
Arriving Friday were: GAF E11, GAF E12, GAF E21, GAF E22 and GAF E23.

Thanks Rene. Heard most of them arrive. Right now, 1535z, there is a flight of GAF Eurofighters inbound over Maine. Caught their air to air on 318.4 (in German of coarse). GAFK36 plotting 3F6012 code.

Second flight was air to air on 294.725 (thanks Brad!) and now they switched to 318.4 over VT.

From what I’ve noticed, AICC is mostly used for radio checks (usually E-3s) because it’s nationwide. Sort of a “I don’t know what the local frequency is, let’s call on the common one” situation.

Yes - I still hear requests for checks on that frequency from various aircraft - not as many as in the old days.

Is it just me or has the activity level for AWACS in our area decreased? Can't remember the last time I heard one in our area. Maybe I'm just not listening at the right times or to the right freqs.

Couldn't help but notice the odd BAW7W route into Dulles right now. At the same time QTR707 is coming from more to the west than usual after a more over the top route.


GTI8669 reporting some sort of issue right after dep from BWI. Going to stay close and work it out.
And they landed.

GAF007 German A-400 departed Selfridge 05:34pm, & is east bound. Landed at Selfridge before 5pm today. I watched him go eastbound down I-696 from my house near 7 Mile & Van Dyke when he was approaching MTC from the west.
119.600 MTC dep, 05:34pm.
127.700 Cleve.C. 05:36pm.
135.625 Tor.C. 05:42pm.
125.775 Tor.C. 05:43pm.

Nice ATC Aircraft Hole over Western WV Southeast Ohio and Eastern Kentucky.

Is there something affecting flights in the lower Jersey/ Philly area? Planes out of NYC and Newark are taking hard lefts over Scranton to their destinations. Checked a bunch of previous flights and they all went south right after departure.
