Ah you made me go track it down. ~DEEC30 is N22591 (click link for picture). Yep, not an F-16.

TIS-B IDs are not fixed to a specific aircraft like a mode-S hex. A mode-S hex is programmed into the transponder. A TIS-B ID is somewhat randomly* created by ATC for every broadcast.
*There does appear to be a correlation to the first three numbers and the general location, probably related to the ATC facility creating the broadcast.

Thanks for the info. In this case with ~DEEC30 I compared the track and timestamps with LiveATC coms to confirm the aircraft ID. I didn't mean to imply it was assigned to that aircraft all the time. I guess I should have said ~DEEC30 was (not is) N22591.

So what is this 285.55 ZDC freq they're given to depart the CAP? I heard this last May when fighters were leaving the CAP.
Travis
Would guess that it was a bad readback.
Maybe one of these: My money would be on ZDC Brooke. Make sense since it's in the flt path from CAP to Savannah

Don't think Sampson NC makes sense.

No, 285.55 is legit. They were talking to someone right away. I was listening to 285.45 at the same time and can hear that controller, he wasn't talking to them.

It's a valid Memphis Center freq. Maybe ZME/ZDC/ZTL are combining to have one controller deal with UHF during low activity periods due to reduced staffing because of the virus.

Right now I'm hearing the same ZDC controller on 126.875, 133.975, 307.025 and 285.45. The same guy is controlling Philly arrivals, telling aircraft to change to his freq 132.525.
I've heard aircraft on 133.975, 126.875, 134.5 all talking to the same guy, now a woman has taken over.

I heard 285.550 as well, the RTB clearance to SAV was via Richmond/RIC at FL230. That would make it the Irons (14) Sector, which is listed as 360.850. Replacement or spare ? Anyone notice if 360.850 is still in use ?

The previous earlier RTBs were via Gordonsville/GVE at a higher altitude with the initial handoff to ZDC 284.700 Montebello (60).

Morning All,
Bit of a thing I have for the P-8s

The P-8 Patrol Squadrons out of Whidbey should be swapping soon, kick off date is normally 1st April give or take. VP-4 Skinny Dragons & VP-40 Marlins have confirmed to be coming east to LICZ as well as MSLP/OBBS so they will be split up to some degree.
Normal routes taken would be either KNUW>BIKF or KNUW>KBGR>LICZ, Pease has also been used in the past but rarely & mainly by the KNIP squadrons.
If anyone picks these guys up Id most appreciate anything on them.

Some tails to look out for,

Call signs,
Dragon/VVYD/MARLIN/VVQE

Picked up a couple of VP-45`s so far, would guess the main push will be off within the next 48hrs.
