The southern edge of Viper is about 200nm away from Wallingford (if that's where you are listening from), a bit of a stretch but doable if they are high enough. It will be interesting to see if you can hear anything ?

I am checking Boston Center frequencies now to see how far up my coverage goes. Looks like Viper is east and northeast of Syracuse based on document from Vermont ANG

Those MOAs northeast of Syracuse make up the Viper - Adirondack, Tupper, Lowville, Cranberry, Carthage. If you can hear anything on ZBW 123.875 you might have a chance. That would be impressive reception.

Besides 123.875 what other active high altitude freqs do you show active. I have the data for Boston and Cleveland Center but sometimes what is shown is not active and unlisted ones are being used for commercial airline/business jet traffic.

2000- Swift 80 (C-21 # 84-0075 AE016D 457th AS) inbound to ADW. Haven't heard that callsign for awhile.

2024- Havoc 93 (EC-130J # 96-8153 AE0267 193rd SOS PA ANG Harrisburg) working Harrisburg approach (124.1) for landing. Departed from Rosecrans ANGB MO.

2028- Blackjack 1 (MH-65D CGAS Wash) doing patterns at ADW.

According to the RR Database 273.55 is paired with 124.125 and transmits from the Remsen NY site. Can you hear the controller on 124.125 ?

This is Sector 10 Rockdale which is being combined with UCA09/ART08 when traffic is light.

Link - RR ZBW ARTCC Database
Ok, I have all of the Remsen, NY and Turin, NY freqs from the database in my scanner.
I can hear both the aircraft and the controller on 124.125 however I can hear the controller better on 273.55.
The VIPER and LIGHTNING airspaces will be very active tomorrow night according to the FAA SUA website.
The LIGHTNING 4 ATCAA is scheduled to be active for the first time in a while, if that is true and the jets come that far south, I should (fingers crossed) be able to hear them well.

135.25 (ART08) I believe is what you are asking. AirScan can correct me if I wrong.

Example - this current flight - presume works Toronto Center - then to Boston Center - but what frequency over eastern portion of Lake Ontario (for Boston Center) ?

or this one before he just switched to 135.325

Most of the time they just use 123.875 (UCA09), however there have been instances where they have used 135.25 (ART08)

Getting hits on 128.025 from here. The PA site sits lower down into a valley so range to the north not as good. The NJ site has a water horizon to the North and Northwest so better reception and the antenna is on the roof so it has a better view from up there. The antenna being used for airband reception is on the left.

What is north of 123.875 ?

Attached are my notes. Should hopefully make things a little clearer. Just high altitude for now, I'm working on a low chart as well as a military version showing UHF frequencies and MOAs and ATCAAs.
