Guys,

Interesting article about the NATO C-17s (the BARTOK we heard yesterday). The one through here yesterday was # 02. There are three C-17s in the Strategic Airlift Consortium SAC # 01, SAC # 02 & SAC # 03.

Another interesting article about the Boeing operation in San Antonio TX (where BARTOK 99 departed yesterday). Side note: when I was in USAF, I spent 18 months at the old Kelly AFB.

As Paul Harvey used to say " Now you know the rest of the story" ;)

0855- Score 54 (KC-130J # 166511 AE1255 VX-20) working low level acty at Wilmington DE. Rare acty from PAX on a weekend.

0919- Score 54 looks to be on approach for Stewart ANGB NY (Newburgh). The VMGR guys at Stewart also fly KC-130Js so may their swapping war stories. Interesting that the whole flt up there has been at 6,000 ft or less.

Guys,

Have been tracking SAM flts since first of the year. I notice that to date there have been several (5) flts from ADW to Colorado Springs & return on the same day. Just wondering if it might be something to do with USAF high-ranking personnel going out to the USAF Academy for speeches, working groups, seminars/war games.

Ah yes Paul Harvey and Alistair Cooke - two great American story tellers.

Good long range on that bird. Tailwind doing 500-525mph :) Thats ground speed but still impressive.

Boom was supposed to be on 247.050 per Huntress but the tanker said 247.500 - so that is the new refueling frequency.

Check out my Huntress CAP feed (experimental on 76.124.165.101:5050 ) a delay of 17 seconds (lower right hand corner matches the visual to the audio portion). Still playing with the setting and programming frequencies as I hear them get added via radio or here.
