Reports from Penguin Six on Twitter has Boris Johnson in Kyiv. Noticed Boxer 41 02-0203 AE11FA from DC area now over Denmark headed towards Ukraine, NCHO135 83-0075 AE0213 from London area over Poland headed towards Ukraine.

NCHO135 appears to be giving off a double image on ADSBx

1300 Heard "BLUE HEN" on ZDC18 DUPONT 307.2500 Not on Ron's callsign List........Any ideas??

As mentioned by others - the Wilmington and Rehoboth CAPS have fighter and tanker tracks as part of the planned CAP.

Usually hear COMPTON, READING and BLUE HEN for the Wilmington one, OYSTER and BLUE CLAW for the Rehoboth ones. Just depends on the weather at altitude over each CAP. There are others (just typing from memory).

The "tactical names" are no different than these standard terminal arrival approach patterns into KPHL

STARs - Standard Terminal Arrivals

BOJID TWO (RNAV)
BUNTS TWO
CEDAR LAKE NINE
JIIMS THREE (RNAV)
PAATS THREE (RNAV)
SLATT FOUR
SPUDS FOUR (RNAV)

Easier to use a name versus a bunch of way points and latitude and longitude points to describe a flight pattern - whether it is a racetrack pattern or an approach to an airport pattern or track.

Rgr Terry I notice in each Wilm CAP the fighters will take Reading,Compton and tankers use Blue Hen.
Downstate Fighters use Oyster and Tankers use Blue Claw.
Their orbit tracks come close to each other but separate enough for one not to worry about the other's track.

Can anyone confirm, I think Marine One was a flight of just 1 VH-3 today. Very unusual because it is usually a flight of 2 or 3.
Was a flight of three. They did a banking approach to RWY 19 at ILG. #3 which was then NH8 when NH1 flight headed back was 159358 and is the “bugout” helicopter that stayed at ILG.

Reading is a more Northerly track for the tankers while Compton is more southerly. You can hear them switch when the weather messes up the original plan. They are separated by altitude with the tankers higher than the fighters. So they could use the same track but safer to separate them especially since the fighters have active radar and missiles - and the tanker is a big gas target.
