1145 TROOPER 2 DSP chopper on Helo-to-helo (123.0250) coordinating with a new choppers, unknown if its DE or PA news station. Normally I would post a non-military aircraft but I thought this was really cool.
That's pretty neat! In DC we hear a lot of LE helo-LE helo coordination and News-News on 123.025, but I can't say I've ever heard LE-News.

Looks like DSP Trooper 2 (N2SP) was assisting several Kent Co fire companies with a wildfire on Staytonville Rd. WBOC Chopper 16 (N216HD), on way to orbit over Dover Downs, stopped to see what was up, I guess.

Tangentially related, looks like N1SP (Trooper 4?), is on the ground at Dover Speedway. Maybe providing pre-set medevac coverage for the large crowd/fast drivers? Or will do security overwatch tomorrow?

Anytime a law enforcement helo is performing an operation that attracts the new helos - they always coordinate. In most case - Philadelphia for example - they are always chatting back and forth. There are occasions when the law enforcement helo will provide some information to the news helos for them to use to their advantage. Since most news helos are on the same frequency - everybody gets the advantage at the same time. News helos will always let the law enforcement helos take the lower on-scene orbit as a courtesy.

With all the crewed Dragon launches going on - trying to catch activity direct from the spacecraft itself. Have had some luck on 2216.00 MHz (no voice yet) but trying some other frequencies on the FCC license as well.

Not a great picture being from the cell phone and the distance to them, but two C17s parked at Martin State.

I have nothing to do all weekend and sure would be nice to see them when they leave if I know the time in advance with only living a mile away. Did get see one leave last year and it left on a Saturday morning.

My recommendation? Find out their registration and set an alert on FR24 for them. You might get lucky and they’ll start pinging before they take off. And monitor acars.adsbexchange.com, but that’s more complicated.

Yesterday on H/F Deuce_42 rdiochek. The sound of the B1b radio station.
What frequency was this on ? Approximate time ?
26.04.22.
23:40
11175 h/f.

Based on their observations, the SOUND and the INCLUSION of radio stations B52 and B1 are very different.

So this log was at 23:40 on Tuesday, April 26? Zulu time? Or LA (Lower Alabama) time?

What is the 'inclusion of radio stations'? I'm not familiar with that term.

Thanks.

The Vermont Air National Guard posted tonight on Instagram about gathering their Vermont community to recognize their deploying troops to Europe.
Vermont ANG deploying to Europe
Latest news blip has them departing early May.. Assume within a week.. Good Hunting guys and Safe trip.
Curious how many go..Small detachment say 4 tails like the Hill F-35 guys did or 10+?

Couple more loaded at Dover C-17's Eastbound tonight. Sure are moving some gear these last few days.
RCH-511 #04-4133
RCH-524 #96-0002 dropping into Bangor.Must be real heavy or more cargo uploads.
Seems to be shortage of tankers this side of pond for C-17's but better out of UK.
