1605- Score 37 (MQ-4?? VX-20) working Giantkiller (238.1) advising they are turning south & will RTB at FL480.

1408- acft "23" (unid) working Giantkiller (238.1) advising they are from USS Ship. Prop sound in background so probably an E-2. Same acft also working Green Dominion on 239.025.

1415-Heat/Treat 1 (sounds like) calling Green Dominion on 239.025. QSYs to 242.75 working w/Bluetail. Showtime flt (unid) also working w/Bluetail. Treat asks Bluetail for Exxon position. Steeljaw 1 (E-2D) also checking in on 242.75.

Have two possibilities for Showtime:

SHOWTIME F/A-18, F-16N Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center Det MCAS Beaufort SC
SHOWTIME F-18 VFA-83 NAS OCEANA VA

I'm guessing these guys are from Oceana.

1630- Valor & Nail flts join the fun on 242.75.

Guys---242.75 very busy. Interesting listening for anyone that can hear the W386 area. Bluetail asks Heat/Treat if any of the players need to return " to the boat". Treat/Heat answers negative.

Who is SCORE 37 flying at fl470 near PAX River?

Also from the KNTU GK LiveATC archives there was what sounded like SORE/SOAR (?) 10 in the W386/W72 area, 1400-1430Z. Cleared to FL500/FL600 advised destination as Edwards AFB. Nothing on ADSB-X. Doesn't really sound like a drone ? Any ideas ? LiveATC Audio

Heard him this morning working Giantkiller ( W386--118.125) and pretty sure his call was Score 10 (VX-20 call). Said he was going to work a couple of other Giantkillers on the way down to Jacksonville.

242.750 a good catch Ron! I didn't have that one in my radio. Very active with dogfights right now. Female pilot. Did you just hear that freq today or did you have it already?
Bob
Oh I see it now from a post from yesterday with a list of freqs. I'll have to go through those and see which other ones I don't have.

Yea, Rich up in PA caught them the other day. 275.75 has been used today as well. I don't get to hear the Oceana guys very often so was very interesting. A totally different vocabulary.

Today, with the Exxons, Packs, Spads and drones, was a different, interesting day for listening. More fun than I've had in quite awhile.

EXXON-1 on 229.350 Tanker Boom freq. That 242.750 also really busy BLUE-TAIL calling out aircraft hostiles etc.
EXXON-1 completes A/R and says will see you in about an hour. Thought I heard COWBOY callsign.
Receiver asks EXXON.How many hours on that plane? reply about 400 hours,Looks brand new!
BLUE-TAIL on 283.820 asking about how many more aircraft runs?
EXXON 1 completes A/R with ECHO-1 for 13.2 offload on 229.350. That sounds Navy to me :)

N11PP EAGLE ONE leads the way as MARINE ONE generates a TIS-B target entering Baltimore's airspace. EAGLE ONE tells ATC that they are 'part of the package' but will maintain ten miles separation from MARINE ONE at all times en route.

Delaware State Police helo N2SP is waiting at the New Castle Airport in Delaware for the 'package' to arrive.

2025 local HMX-1 A/A 143.835 booming here relaying airport ATIS info "Mike",winds at 5mph.
2035 EAGLE-1 has DSP chopper in site KILG tower 126.000
2036 HMX-1 "Two pushing on the right" L+C
2038 Marine-1 cleared to land KILG on 126.000
2042 EAGLE-1 sw to Philly apch 124.350 at "2500 feet"

Ron and all here Thanks for heads up and freqs on that W-386 drill with EXXON-1 and E-2D I assume.
I got lucky searching and finding EXXON-1 Boom freq.
From what I could understand during the drills seemed to involve hostile aircraft approaching low at 2k feet called out by E-2D then
some would do a fast climb to 30k or higher inbound but not all. That makes a tough flying command response for the good guys.
That poor gal working radio hard on Bluetail sounded exhausted in asking. How many more runs are we doing? :)

2050 local STRIKE-242 and STRIKE-214 on 373.8250 I have as A/A. Sounds Navy. One reply went encrypted on same.
Guessing Bush Carrier aircraft..

2042- AE5E57 just popped up with a 7700 squawk.

Possibly Navy E-2D BuNo 169081.

I think it was Navy RQ-4A [sic] BuNo 166510. It took off from Navy Pax River. It has possibly been modified as a testbed for the MQ-4C program at VX-20.
