ICAO addresses AE1167 and AE1168 are in 02-0202, AE1165 and AE1166 are in 02-0201

In both cases they can be, and are, used concurrently

The real oddball is 09-0540

With BOXER 42 the AE1165 was used by ADS-B and AE1166 was used by ADS-C. There may be both codes assigned to the same aircraft but I'm not so sure. Ben Orchard who runs the great thebaldgeek ACARS/satcomm etc. website thought that the discrepancy was due to the multiple databases used to parse the data. But, then again, he was asking me about it and I'm not exactly an authority on the subject. ;)

And, just to muddy the waters a little more about the VIP plane hex IDs, I believe in recent months the plane with the SAM 18 Continuity of Government mission on the AF1 trips has sometimes used an alternate voice callsign and a spoofed hex ID.

Just curious if anyone on here might have any info on an aircraft with a hex of AE64D5? No callsign or registration shown, little to no history online that I found. Watching it out in California shadow AF1 on ADSBx and landed at Riverside while AF1 went into Long Beach.

SAM 18 C-32A 09-0017 apparently landed at Mountain Home AFB, Idaho earlier as AF1 went into Boise. Later, as AF1 went to Sacramento, California, 09-0017 landed at Travis AFB from the satcom transmissions.

Checking ADSBExchange for 09-0017 it next shows up parked on the ramp at March AFB, California at 0114Z. The mystery plane with the AE64D5 hex appears to have parked in exactly the same spot on the ramp a few minutes earlier at 0109Z.

AE64D5 tracked from somewhere in Northern California.

Caught them on LiveATC passing through SoCal 127.000, callsign sounded like GRECO 20, no clues on the type though.

Unfortunately for us - the process is a piece of cake. From this article in 2020

The hex code is a unique ICAO 24-bit address (part of the aircraft’s Certificate of Registration) used to identify the aircraft and broadcast by its Mode-S transponder. Normally, the hex code is never changed, but the onboard transponders can be re-programmed. <------

Hi Ron. Yes a friend of mine was staying up in Burlington over the Christmas holiday and verified that the old MAPLE OPs on 293.7 is now STRIKE OPs. I'm ASSuming it was for the change to the 35s tying it to Lightning "strike"?

Since the F-35s I've heard them calling it SCORPION Ops many times. Previous Post.

I'm not the only one (Feb 5th)
0948 - MISTY 11 calling MUSKET 11 on Scorpion Ops 141.650 (VT ANG) so possibly waiting for F-35's to get airborne.

Unless there are 2 different Ops ?

Sorry Airscan, I don't know what to tell you. All I know is that while he was up there for a couple weeks I asked him if they are no longer using MAPLE and he said no, it's now, STRIKE. That's all I have. Wish I could offer more.

SecState also headed east with VP. Most likely on separate C-32As. Usually VP overseas flights include 2x C-32s so this trip may require 3x (2x for VP and crew and 1x for Blinken).
SecState also making last minute stop in NY today:

One Possibility, one of the callsigns is the VT ANG Command Post/Ops and the other is the F-35 sqdn's Supervisor of Flight (SOF).
