With BOXER 42 the AE1165 was used by ADS-B and AE1166 was used by ADS-C. There may be both codes assigned to the same aircraft but I'm not so sure. Ben Orchard who runs the great thebaldgeek ACARS/satcomm etc. website thought that the discrepancy was due to the multiple databases used to parse the data. But, then again, he was asking me about it and I'm not exactly an authority on the subject.

Speaking of NASA they have launch scheduled from Wallops Saturday but looking at wx forecast
of winds 20-30 and gusting to 40 I would not bet on Saturday.

And, just to muddy the waters a little more about the VIP plane hex IDs, I believe in recent months the plane with the SAM 18 Continuity of Government mission on the AF1 trips has sometimes used an alternate voice callsign and a spoofed hex ID.

The U.S. Air Force intelligence aircraft have been using fake Mode-S codes, but this doesn't give any real operational advantage. It just fuels some crazy

The hex code is a unique ICAO 24-bit address (part of the aircraft’s Certificate of Registration) used to identify the aircraft and broadcast by its Mode-S transponder. Normally, the hex code is never changed, but the onboard transponders can be re-programmed. <------

Hi Ron. Yes a friend of mine was staying up in Burlington over the Christmas holiday and verified that the old MAPLE OPs on 293.7 is now STRIKE OPs. I'm ASSuming it was for the change to the 35s tying it to Lightning "strike"?
Since the F-35s I've heard them calling it SCORPION Ops many times. Previous Post.

Sorry Airscan, I don't know what to tell you. All I know is that while he was up there for a couple weeks I asked him if they are no longer using MAPLE and he said no, it's now, STRIKE. That's all I have. Wish I could offer more.

One Possibility, one of the callsigns is the VT ANG Command Post/Ops and the other is the F-35 sqdn's Supervisor of Flight (SOF).
