Recently I noticed there there may be two E-6Bs now using the transponder code 249249. 164404 is definitely broadcasting GOTO FMS still, but something else is broadcasting 11111111. There has two be two because I saw 11111111 go into Pax around 1830 yesterday. Then GOTO FMS which I've heard with Ops as 404 came along from the west and landed around 2030.

Time to pay attention to Shadow Ops when 11111111 is inbound.

Yes the transition of former US Air Force MC-12W's to US Army is on going now.
Out West MC-12Ws logged as callsign INTEL 111th MI BGE/304th MI Bn Fort Huachuca/Libby AAF (training center)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSU6RjLtOnY
Out East former MC-12Ws logging as callsign SHADY 224th MI Bn Hunter AAF Savannah Ga.

All 12 so far getting US Army EMARSS ( Enhanced Medium Altitude Reconnaissance and Surveillance System) upgrades via L-3 in Texas.. Saw a mode s MC-12W logged SAME95 the other day near Dallas.US Army could get 20 more..
( After modification, the aircraft will be re-designated the EMARSS-M) like those new MC-12S we saw testing at APG a year or so a go.
Guess we can pencil them in next as MC-12S types for US Army instead of MC-12W's or maybe MC-12M types for ex USAF types?

Contract to Convert US Army MC-12W Liberty to EMARSS-M - Tangent Link

press release A-10 activity Fri-Sat

Watch for low flying aircraft:
A-10s from the 104th Fighter Squadron, Baltimore, Maryland Air
National Guard, will be conducting some low level training mid-morning and afternoon Friday, March 4 and mid-day Saturday, March 5 in the vicinity of Vienna, Mardela Springs, Nanticoke, Mt. Vernon, Deal Island, Dames Quarter, Chance, Oriole, Venton, Upper Hill, Upper Fairmount, Fairmount, Rumbley, and Marion Station.
Airspace has been coordinated with the FAA, and pilots will mitigate the impact to residents on the ground by avoiding populated areas and adhering to all FAA and US Air Force regulations.
“We are very grateful to have the opportunity to use this airspace and would like to continue doing so,” a squadron operations spokesperson said. “Again, we will make every effect to mitigate the impact on our fellow Maryland residents. Thank you for your consideration.”

via Crisfield / Somerset County Times (on Facebook)

so I guess Fairmount, Oriole etc are not 'populated areas'
(I can say that cuz I live here!)

They passed through PHL airspace this morning as RED DOG 71 flight, headed southwest down to FDK. Must have turned around and come back this afternoon.
