Strange acft

Tin,

Played golf at Ft Meade today----From about 0915 until about 1330 was seeing unmarked light gray painted P-3 playing around the Ft Meade/BWI area. He start out doing box patterns around the Ft meade area at about 1-2,000ft altitudes then worked his way up, doing the same patterns, to about 10,000 ft or so.

Strange acft, weird color and no visible markings at all. Couple that with strange flight pattern and makes me curious.

Did your box pick up anything during that time frame to say who this guy was or where he was from?

Looking back at the autolog, there are a couple of unknowns and questionable aircraft but there's just no way to make the association. Had I known, I would really have liked to tie it up. By the way, I was outside during much of that time frame and saw/heard nothing but probably wouldn't since it would have to be in the landing pattern for BWI for me to see it.

That is an oldie... Year 1955 owned by Texas group.Course that is the legal FAA registered owners.
No record found of that company online..

Hi Tin,

Not sure of the duration of each flight, but according to the posted "eyewitness" report, it was seen "doing circuits south of (BWI), and never actually was in the approach pattern for BWI. The furthest north it got was Route 100 and Arundel Mills. It seemed to be doing patterns around NSA and Ft. Meade."
