Heard Hoist 94 on from Woodstown, NJ today on 132.05 AM trying to raise Harass62 and have them go to 370.92 or 269.42

I thought 132.05 was listed as ZDC Smyrna. Is this normal for them to be calling like that on Center freqs?

Please pardon my ignorance, as I am very very new to this area of the hobby.

Thanks
DM

It's not an everyday occurence but, sure, no reason for the tanker to not try to raise a potential customer on Center freqs. When a tanker is flying along with receivers, the tanker is responsible for ATC transmissions for clearance along the route. Or, perhaps, he's just trying to do the Center a favor and raise them to get them on the correct freq.

Unknown AE08EA displayed TITUS26 so that ought to be a VR-53 KC-130 right? libhomeradar lists that as UH-60L 93-26479.

The SBS database also shows UH-60 helo registration but the TITUS callsign I would think overrides that and we need a change in the database. However, it would be a C-130T without the K. I just submitted it to the SBS database admin for consideration as a VR-53 bird.

The SBS database also shows UH-60 helo registration but the TITUS callsign I would think overrides that and we need a change in the database. However, it would be a C-130T without the K. I just submitted it to the SBS database admin for consideration as a VR-53 bird.

It could be another case of these VR-53 guys having the wrong hex code like AE08EB/TITUS01.

Callsign WILD... Hmm I wonder if they're related to the MV CAP or something else.

Just DC ANG out doing their thing. Now landing at ADW. 349.0

Been listening in for 30 mins now and haven`t heard any comms related to the CAP.

Conversly, hearing comes on the Police freq right now. They are about to stop traffic so the the Presidential procession can depart his latest visit for a round of golf and head back to the farm.

Tanker line up so far today, looks like another KC-10 snuck in there for a stint replacing Zombi26.
I wasn`t around to listen in today, so the c/s are straight from the box. I notice that a Hoist94 was reported trying to raise Harass61/62 earlier so this may have been the same a/c as below as Team58.

Zombi22 AE0655 58-0084 KC-135T Pa/ANG 2214 -- 0022
Zombi23 AE0148 58-0098 KC-135R Me/ANG 0021 -- 0436
Zombi24 AE0505 60-0366 KC-135R NJ/ANG 0440 -- 0852
Zombi25 AE0651 58-0057 KC-135R Ia/ANG 0848 -- 1301
Team58 AE0220 85-0028 KC-10A 305AMW 1235 -- 1648 [Hoist94?]
Zombi27 AE026B 62-3515 KC-135R NH/ANG 1644 -- current

No idea of the state of the fighters, can 71FS do this all week?, surely its time for someone else to take over.

Adrian, if the above message are correct and the WILD F-16s from Andrews are taking over the CAP, check for a VHF freq for HUNTRESS working with them. Again, the refs above indicated they were working 360.15. If so, they'd be forced to use VHF as Primary w/HUNTRESS because of the radios they carry. Check 138.2 and 139.7. The Andrews F-16s do carry 139.7 as a preset anyway so I'd go there first. Both 138.2 and 139.7 are valid NORAD freqs.

1800 ICE plane N541PB back up again, must be circling again at 2.3K.

The last time this one was flying around was during the inauguration and IDed as OMAHA-10.

VADER-21 EA-6B with ZDC-Hagerstown.
1900- To ZOB 124.4
1902- E-6B 404 CALL-59 callling Norfolk Metro for WX at Charleston. Had it on the box briefly down in North Carolina.

I'd be checking 143.6, 139.15, 143.15 and 139.45 for CAP interflight.

1940- OTIS-10 KC-130 VMGR-252 inbound to ADW. Mentioned they would be there for some sort of VIP deal.

2018- VADER-21 AE1368 inbound to ADW, passing AML. 269.0 So both VHF and UHF for this area have changed this week.

Getting some comms here on 375.7 Coronet31, and also 376.1. Signal strength seems pretty strong but it is totally broken and unreadable. The voice sounds the same on both freqs but just so broken that cant string two words together.
Edit ....instruments working.....

Thanks Alan, will puts those freqs in.Still hearing Harass63 right now so still 71FS. If they`re still doing 4 hour shifts then these two should be around until 2200 or so. But hoping for a change after that.

Question, any significance to the suffix range they use ? 41-6, 51-6, 61-6 repeat.

No real significance that I know of Adrian. I'm surprised they're not also using 31-6. Am I mistaken that they used the 3x range on the first day? Anyway, they never number a two ship flight above x6 - other than some special missions.

P.S. Mode-S range is fantastic tonight. I'm currently tracking aircraft north of Long Island - just about in Connecticutt.

F-16 delivery flight

Hi,

Another delivery flight tomorrow (Friday), three F-16s from Fort Worth to Lajes. Their ETA for ACK is 1415z.

Reference the CAPs this week, heard several of the F-15s check in on 380.150 right after 299.700/290.300,
but most of the times they didn't get any reply from Boston center there ........

Happy listening !!!

Guys,

I would expect to see quite a few SAM flts this weekend up to Boston for the Kennedy funeral. All the politicians will be trying to get some face time---be seen on the news bytes---attending the "Lion"s funeral.
No idea if related at all, but RCH 231T clg Hanscom CP on 397.100 around 1500Z.
