Thanks Rene. I had some comms on Coronet 295.4 and I was sure I heard a "75" in there. Comms were weak, most likely on the Southern fringe of my reception. I also had comms during that time on 139.875 (McGuire tanker A-A) talking about the weather at Cherry Point.

Checking some local SBS logs from Fairfax it looks like my Bauer 42 could have been the USAF Systems Command FA20 N20NY.

Thursday 05/10/12- 1430 local- (ref McGuire Air Show) Hearing the T-Birds doing practice runs and maneuvers on 235.25...Sounds like one is a female pilot.. Heard them earlier talking about different angles and degrees.

I just figured out exactly which Huey OMAHA5 is. It is N72595 cn 73-21769. And that explains why it's using the mode-S code for N21769.

And that leads me to OMAHA4 using the code for N16452 which would make it N72593 cn 70-16452.
And so OMAHA3 would be N72594 cn72-21485 since it used the code for N21485.

It's nice to finally get this figured out. Though it doesn't really make sense with the callsigns and last number of the reg for 3 and 4. I had to double check my log and there is no doubt the code for N21485 was squawking 4403 and was using the OMAHA3 callsign.

Most likely you heard the T-Birds. They were using 141.075 at around 3 pm during their routine at McGuire.

This air show was a bit of a bummer. Security wouldn't let you in the gate if you had a scanner. There was no mention of this on their web site ( List of banned items) or on the sign posted at the entrance. There is a thread going about this in the NJ forum in case you guys are interested. Overall a good show but not the same without being able to hear the comms. Lots more aircraft on static display then in the past.

All the aircraft in the area are trying to dodge the storms. JENA264 N612BK is trying to get back to KHEF from some place to the south.

1822- FIRST11 to Eagle Ops 341.8 asking about WX at Langley.
360.85- will be holding west of the field for now, but will give a heads up if he needs to divert to ADW if the storm doesn't move.
341.8- can hold for 10 minutes. Will hold at HARCUM. That might not work to well, storms are popping up and moving towards Andrews.
