anyone catch any Coast Guard traffic this weekend on the search off Deal Island?
Sat pm some people in Crisfield said they heard aircraft and a splash. Somerset County S&R commenced looking, assisted by units from other counties, NRP, and CG. I heard most of it. Pretty well run for that many units from that many agencies in the dark. I did hear someone say they couldn't contact NRP as they were on the CG channels and didn't have their vhf.

Search for possible downed plane near Deal Island called off - WGMD.COM

DHS is already airborne for tonight with N578AE OMAHA-1 and N3940A OMAHA-2 both Eurocopter AS-350s.
1845-OMAHA-5 was airborne too and may have just landed at Dulles.

Czech Air Force Fokker 27 CEF05C departed ADW not too long ago heading east.

P-8A 167955 was working today as PIONEER-99

1903- MUSSELL-14 (female) to MUSSELL-15 advising they're in Leesburg. 292.2 Both are heading to Mt Weather.
1917- MUSSELL-15 1 minute out. 241.0

1910- E-6B 164404 is heading offshore from Norfolk, likely for AR. E-6B 163920 is heading ESE across central VA.

TERRA32 C-32B 02-4452 heading NE from Richmond, direct Sea Isle. 133.9

Guard Dog CAP is active. Tanker is ZOMBY99 62-3508.
SONIC53 on 260.9

2020- Possibly 00-1052 calling ADW Tower from over Charlottesville asking what's going on that they won't be able to land there. Mentioned landing at Charlottesville for now and getting some gas.

The CAP is using 270.15 as primary since they were having issues with the regular frequencies.

German Air Force-189 (3E8C70) inbound to Dulles. I believe it's a C-160. I should be able to get a visual once it loops around for 19C. 120.45

Re: SCORE P-8As

Hop,

Had SCORE 83 and 85 up w/ZDC-Calvert 133.900 QSY to ZDC-Irons 132.950 at 2009Z yesterday. Did not catch the altitudes but 83 told ZDC later "we'll be out of your hair and back to Pax in just few minutes."

Tony

P-8As 167953 (showing ID of SCR83) and 955 are flying around east of Richmond, both with ADS-B. Comms on 254.025

Slightly off-topic: How is RadioShack PRO106/197 for Milair?

In light of this week's sale for the Radio Shack PRO106 portable and PRO197 desktop object-oriented scanners, I'm wondering how they do on MilAir UHF. Their 1800 working memories...plus 21 virtual scanners of 1800 channels each...are very appealing when it comes to all the ZDC/ZOB/ZBW/ZID ARTCC freqs...tactical air-to-air freqs...etc., that are in use and can be heard around the metro DC area.

I've already got a PRO106, but have only used it for local public safety listening so far.

Comments, anyone? Many thanks in advance!

Wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of twin prop Army plane landed a the Cape May County airport in south jersey today at approx. 1400 hrs. It was followed by what appeared to be a Blackhawk. Then both left around 1700 hrs. Very unusual for this area and airport.

Small? C-12
Large-ish? C-27

Another low and slow E-6B tonight. 163918 heading toward Roanoke.
Saw 164404 head that way and descend on Sunday night.
Also seems like no more one-time single-syllable callsigns. It's always SHADOW## when I hear them.
