So I’m trying to host a stream and calls with two dongles on a Pi, is this possible?

Calls are separate from an audio stream correct?

Would be a P25 Trunked system.

Thanks

What software are you planning to use? And which dongles?

My experience is with SDR-trunk:
The cheaper RTL-SDR dongle will cover about 2.4MHz each and my fast calculations on the site you linked shows over 8MHz of spectrum. This means 4 RTL dongles, or one of the dongles that cover up to 10MHz.

Some other software will leave control channel to jump to a voice channel outside of the limits of the dongle. You could get by with one or two dongles but I believe you would not have 100% coverage.

I am doing that right now. I host a stream using darkice and a Calls node with two dongles on a Raspberry Pi 5. Broadcasting/RR even has an image for the RPi to make the process much more simple.

Link to the image and discussion.

Awesome that's what I'm looking to do, going to try setting that up now using the image. What software are you using on the img? I was thinking SDRTrunk could do it?

I have to use Trunk Recorder since I run analog frequencies, it was the only program that could run analog frequencies at the time when I first started. I don’t know anything about SDRTrunk.
