Yes, I also am monitoring the same thing. My reception seems improved and a little less garbled. As to why the change is unknown.

Well it's actually a patch between Twinsburg PD1 TG 33936 and SO OPS2 TG 32496 for reasons unknown.

Twinsburg TG's

How come there are no TG's for the city of Twinsburg listed in the DB? I thought they switched over to the Summit 800 system earlier this year.

There are several talkgroups listed for the City of Twinsburg on the Summit County 800 RRDB page. They are listed as "Reminderville / Twinsburg" because of the shared use of some talkgroups by these two municipalities.

The FD and PW and some other things haven't come online yet for some reason.

Ha Ha...Silly me! Looks like I need to pay more attention and go back to kindergarten and learn that (R)eminderville comes before (T)winsburg in the alphabet.

I am going out on a limb here and state that it is silly for them to be listed as "Reminderville / Twinsburg" instead of "Twinsburg/Reminderville ". I suppose it's because "R" comes before "T". But the fact remains that it is Twinsburg's system and Reminderville is dispatched by Twinsburg is the reason they are using it. I haven't heard R'ville on PD2 or any of the TAC TGs. I don't know if they even have it. Probably do.

Thanks for making me feel a little less dumb than I did a few minutes ago!

Inconsistent

Further these are not listed in alphabetical order in the RRDB:

New Franklin/Clinton Talkgroups

Tallmadge/Mogadore Talkgroups

Ed,

Talkgroups are mostly listed in numeric ascending order in the database. Over the years it's been found that our users overwhelmingly prefer this sort order over alpha sort or any other option. So, it really doesn't matter how the names or categories are spelled out in the database, but we prefer to stick with how they're called on the radio by the actual users as much as possible.

Tom, I beg to differ. Look at the listing on multiuser TGs in the Summit system. Even some of the single user TGs are NOT in numerical order.

I agree (more or less) that it really doesn't "matter'. But as Dave found out looking for Twinsburg is not obvious when it's listed under Reminderville.

I believe the delay in Twinsbug FD moving has something to do with an agreement with MARCS for programming Twinsburg radios with MARCS talkgroups .. since the FD responds on mutual aid to Cuyahoga County FDs using MARCS.

Regarding sorting of the Communities in database .. it is bizarre. That's why my HP set up looks nothing like the database. In fact the system name needs corrected.. it is Summit / Akron Regional 800 Radio System .. why "Akron" is left off , no idea..

I'll take this up with Tom offline. I do see the point. I admit the naming of 'Tallmadge/Mogadore' over the reverse was my doing. I grew up in Tallmadge and naturally put it first.

Many times, info is put in verbatim from the submission or appended to later. That is likely how Solon came to be listed first. I think an example of a copy/paste from a submission might also be 'Lakewood Fire and EMS'. Why call out EMS unless it is a completely separate agency?

Interesting choice, phonetically speaking.

TG 42064

Logged but not heard. UIDs were 30614 which is known to be PD.

In the wiki of un-IDed TGs it is classed it as TAC but unknown PD or FD. It's likely citywide like the T'burg TAC TGs.

I love audio recording. The first transmission on 42448 yesterday at 10:34. "407 4486 on Pen 2 Service Department".
