Very Recently I've been hearing spurts of data (quite constant) or almost someone is using anything but analog on this channel. Has anyone heard of any other agency that has started using JEMS 1 on another system or with P25, NXDN, DMR, ETC...?

Tropo propagation was around yesterday and today. I was hearing stations as far away as Conn. Mass border. Could be a a factor.

Very Well,

Just wanted to see if there were any unpublished changes but you could be correct. I knew that could have been a factor.

Thank you.

I thought that was only on low band, would it affect high band VHF too?
It's quite possible.

I have heard it over the Mountain Creek Transportation Repeater which is also VHF, was picking up a Spanish cab company in Astoria NY.

Skip is what affects low band, whereas tropo enhancement or tropo ducting affects VHF and higher bands. Google "skip vs tropo" for more details.
