I am sure it is somewhere in the help or here on the forum but I can not locate it at either location yet.

after the TGID it usually has A, D, or 8. I understand those but sometimes it will show 2 , does that mean it is a patch? or what is it showing?

Also under the PrBK it shows U which is the bank mine is defaulted with but before that it usually shows P or 50, what is the difference and i never see a number other than 50, is it not reading the priorities or are all the priorities on my system set for 50? it is a Moto IIi system.

and lastly the size colum examples are:
9 (5)
25 (12)
11 (11)
etc etc

on the far right side where it shows the data stream, what are the difference between the 3 rows of dashes going up the screen, and when the letters/numbers say FRAMING does that mean my signal has dropped/bad data recv'd or something different? it will sometimes do it after I have been on the system with solid signal for a while.

it is a great program but these are a few things i haven't figured out yet.

Thanks,

Caesar

PR = Priority. Those are the priorities that you set for talkgroups and radios. Only relevant if you use TRUNK88 to control a second scanner.

9 (5)

11 (11)

From the help text:

[ Talkgroup Size ]
These parameters control the screen location and foreground (text) color of the
Talkgroup Size values that are displayed during group calls. The first value
displayed is the total number of radio IDs active on a talkgroup; it includes RIDs
seen affiliating and/or PTTing on the group. On non-networked systems, the second
value displayed is the number of RIDs seen affiliating only (e.g. lurking) on the
talkgroup. On multi-zone SmartZone and OmniLink systems, the second value is the
number of RIDs seen affiliating to the talkgroup on the current zone/site (e.g. how
many radios dragged the call over to the site). For patched/MSEL'd calls, the values
are the totals for all member talkgroups. To determine which RIDs are active on a
talkgroup, patch or MSEL, use the Edit Talkgroup command to load the record of
interest and then press Ctrl-A to display a detailed list. Consult the Ctrl-A hotkey
help text for more details. The recommended Width value for the Talkgroup Size
display is 6; this provides enough room for an nn(nn) display. Set Width to zero to
suppress the display of this field.

From left to right - input audio volume level, current decoding accuracy, number of pending commands.

and when the letters/numbers say FRAMING does that mean my signal has dropped/bad data recv'd
Yes. Each Bad or Framing display represents a lost OSW.

Something has caused the loss - perhaps a noise burst.

Base Staion Identifier. The system is broadcasting its callsign, as required by law.

Commands sent to the system for various reasons and waiting for que to take effect.. such affiliate/patch/I-call/paging/go secure, etc... The busier the system is, the more pending commands you will notice.

ok cool, I have noticed the one that shows 2 "emergency" is showing up on the COntrol Channel/Data and I noticed the message Channel 1 RIB Enabled. i assume this means system control or someone is working on/with the system? also saw Channel 2 RIB Enabled and then CHannel 2 RIB malfunction

Active radio programming .... RIB is the cable used to interface with actual radios for programming.

No. Pending commands are OSW sequences that TRUNK88 has only seen once. TRUNK88 will not act on most events unless they are seen at least twice on the control channel. This is done to weed out the occasional bad decodes that are, unfortunately, unavoidable. Any event (that isn't based on a bad decode) that is "pending" in TRUNK88 has already taken place in the real world.

And again, no. The RIBs that relate to system channels are called Receiver Interface Boards. They have nothing to do with a radio programming level converter.

The messages in question are generated when the system detects interference (RF carrier when there should be none) on repeater input frequencies.
