Why in the world would you need to switch over to the analog freq.
Thats the thing, a lot of these patches when the audio gets converted sound extremely muddy and distorted so hearing the true analog source would be a benefit. A better way this could work is if your additional tuner was already set to the analog frequency but you only heard the audio of that frequency when the patch goes through. At least in my case, the majority of analog in my area are in a small section of VHF and the trunked systems are in a small area of 700mhz so I already tend to have another tuner on VHF area while also listening to the trunked systems and that is not a rare occurrence.
If I were the author I would not waste time on something like this. One person in about 30,000,000 would even care about trying this out.
I wrote this knowing it was a bit of a stretch but there are features that have become a reality in this fork that I could also say one in 30,000,000 would care about. That's the beauty of forks like this, it's purely for hobbyists. I have talked to people who also would like a seamless patch feature like this.
