Using firmware .23 I had the following happen last night and this morning as I was testing for the TG issue.
I have 2 P25 Phase I systems being monitored. Both are very active systems.
Ohio MARCS-IP: Multi-Agency Radio Communications (P25) Trunking System, Various, Ohio - Scanner Frequencies
I have location set and 6 sites are being scanned (2 are mobile sites and are not active)
One site is a simulcast site (Cuyahoga)
Greater Cleveland Radio Communications Network Trunking System, Cleveland, Ohio - Scanner Frequencies
Has location set and only the (Cleveland) simulcast site is being scanned.
When I turned on the radio I was getting very little traffic from the MARCS-IP system other than a few hits off the 2 closest sites to me (Grafton, Lorain) with stronger signal full bars. Normal traffic on GCRN
I went and did the analyze on the Cuyahoga site until Q went up. I then started to receive a normal amount of traffic on all sites, including TG's on the 2 close sites that would also be on the Cuyahoga site but was not receiving before this. This may be related to the TG issue? As an example until the Cuyahoga site started to receive I was not getting TG's on the Grafton sites for Lakewood and Solon. After the Cuyahoga site woke up I was getting (correct) Lakewood and Solon Tg's on the Grafton site as well as Cuyahoga.
The GCRN site went dead no traffic. Went into analyze and could not get Q to jump.
Move the antenna to where I could get Q to jump on both simulcast sites.
Went on monitoring as normal.
This morning when I turned on the radio the MARCS-IP system was normal and very little traffic on CGRN one broken fire tac in 15 minutes. Normally traffic happens at every scan of the system.
I had to do the analyze on the GCRN site to receive normal traffic.
For me this really seems to be signal related the Cuyahoga MARCS and the Cleveland GCRN typically get 2 bars.
