I moved here a little while back, and i'm from an area that is still on a non trunked system so this is all new to me. I have a radioshack pro 94 that I'm trying to get program for Bellevue PD and any other local PD's I can.. The programming is kicking my butt.. Is there anyone in the Omaha area that would be willing to show or help me program this thing?

Bellevue, Omaha, Sarpy County etc are all on the ORION system. You will need a digital scanner to monitor these. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the Pro 94 will no longer cut it. Depending upon where you live you can still monitor Lincoln with the Pro 94 though.

This is great news.. I've had my pro-94 for a long long time.. she's been faithful and i'll use it til she dies or sarpy goes digital haha

Thanks for the input guys, it's much appreciated! I picked up a 800mhz band last night that had some bellevue chatter on it.. But it's not trunking.. When trunking is enabled, it stops on the channel when there's an RX.. but it doesn't project and audio.. I can disable the trunking and It doesnt pick up NEAR as much.. Like I said I got limited chatter last night.. This thing is so confusing when trying to trunk!

Well I got a response from Marty of scanomaha.com.. He said my Pro-94 is not compatible and I need a digital scanner.. However everything i'm finding is saying its an analog motorola type II system.. Once again.. dead end road.

I will try to help

1.Press PROG then TRUNK. TRUNK appears and one
or more bank numbers flash.

2. Press the number key (1–10) of the desired target
storage bank. Select one of the trunk systems by
repeatedly pressing 8 or 9 to select a trunking
system type, then press E (SVC). The scanner then
automatically selects the first channel in the
selected bank.

E2-800 is what type of system you want.

3.Use the number keys to enter a valid frequency
within the trunk system, then press E (SVC). BANK
and the bank number, the channel number, and E
(EDACS) or M (Motorola) appears depending upon
the trunk system selected.

Enter channels in this order for the Sarpy System

854.5375
854.2625
859.9875
859.2375
858.9875
858.2375
857.9875
857.2375
856.9875
856.2375

4.Press either PROG or 8 to select the next channel
in the bank.

5. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 until you enter all desired frequencies
in that bank

6.Press SCAN, then SRC to begin searching for the
trunk’s data channel and scan conventional frequencies
at the same time.

As the scanner looks through the frequencies, you
see them on the display. When the scanner finds
the controlling data channel, the scanner begins
trunking.

This should make it track the system and hear the traffic on the system.

As it trunk you should see Talkgroup ID coming when you get that I will look at manual to see how to program ID you want.

There is some encrypted digital talkgroups, just lock those out.
