Well I’ve been waiting for a long time to find out they’re going to be encrypted it doesn’t surprise me oh well at least we can listen to the fire and EMSI am told from an inside source that the changover will happen soon. The county will distribute handhelds programmed for the new system and agencies will use those while Staley Technologies goes around reprogramming mobile units. I am also told that all law enforcement in Tuscarawas County will be encrypted.
Testing today again on many of the aforementioned TG. Just an observation, when Stark organized their TG list, they started at the beginning with 42021, I believe because the first 20 had already been assigned prior to the new system and went in order thereafter. They are since only up to 45229 that we have logged so far. Tuscarawas has been testing all over the board from 46503 up to 46996. Seems like either they have no rhyme or reason to the assignments or they have used all 500 TG ID's.
From a system administrator perspective, it makes talkgroup and radio ID management quite a bit more difficult.
I meant concerned not considered. Dang auto correct on my Ipad.No need to be considered about the talk groups, because they will be available soon.![]()
Is anybody monitoring the Tusco Co MARCS SImulcast? One talkgroup ( TG: 46541 ) has been quite active this past week, and one a little less so. Just wondering if anyone has identified its use thus far.
Mike
Two people directing traffic. Could be an FD on an accident or a crew at a road construction site. I will listen for a bit but this is an awful boring use of my G5.
Ok. Figured I'd ask. Supposedly it is "79 TRAFFIC". But I really couldn't pull in comms clear enough. And I have no idea if it's supposed to be a Law or Fire talkgroup.
Mike
I am surprised you cannot get this system better. Where are you at in Carroll County? I am sitting here in Canton and getting 2 to 3 bars on my G5.
Belmont CI TG 52680 has access now to the system. I have been seeing TG 46793 very active today.
I blocked out the BECI turds. Damned interlopers![]()
