Hello dear om´s,

I am new to this forum and would like to ask a question about the possibility of saving the activated TX HF power at my TH75D.
Although I am not sure, if my old TH-D74 could do so, but for me it would handy, if the TRX would save and keep the last chosen TX-power at shut down.
At the moment it always starts up with Low Power, which I need to change to high every time.

Thanks for your help!

I don't have a TH-D75. My TH-D74 always boots up at the last power level I was using. Note that you cannot save power level settings in memory channels.

Hello and thanks for your reply.
Yes, my TH-D74 did save the power level correctly, too.
But the TH-D75 does not save. And it does not have a possibility to switch on/off saving the power level in the menue as well.
I guess, it´s just a bug in the firmware.

WoW! I cannot believe Kenwood let that bug stay in the FW. Both my TH72 & TH74 always boots on to last power setting used. I do know it took me a long while to hit the correct sequence with the buttons so I did not change it by trying to change something else in radio. So for now a 75 is off my to get list.

I think a buddy purchased a D75 so I reached out for him to test. I’m happy with my D74, especially after getting a USB charger for it. Still, the temporary lower $580 price is nice for the D75A.

Mine is always on 'High' or whatever power setting I set it to when I turn it on.

I did not run out and buy the initial production run.

My TH-D75A, one of the first ones, powers on with whatever setting it had when powered off.

My D75A is also one of the first units. With the original firmware or the current (v1.03) firmware, it remembers the power level for each VFO when I turn it off and back on.
