As
Whiskey3 noted
above, export your programing file from Sentinel & attach it to a post.
For things to check when you get the error message "nothing to scan", see this
Wiki page.
The most common error, generating a 'nothing to scan' error messages on the Uniden database scanners, such as the x36HP & SDS series, are often not entering the correct sites (for trunked systems), or not using the correct departments & channels. Another common error is either using an incorrect (or blank) location in your Sentinel profile, and/or absence of location information when scanning a Favorites list set to use 'Location Control'.
You
must have the correct service types active. When the scanner is first shipped, also when Sentinel is first installed. only Public Safety Dispatch types are active, i.e. Law Dispatch, Fire Dispatch, EMS Dispatch, & Multi-Dispatch. You also need to activate the related Talk & Tac service types (i.e. Law Talk, Fire Tac, etc).
Did you create your file, in Sentinel, by appending items from the main database, or manually entering your systems, departments, and channels. If you added them manually, creating systems in Sentinel instead of appending,
and you are using Location Control on your list, you would also need to enter location data for each department, as well as any sites (on trunked systems). Also, if using location, be
sure that your correct location & desired range are entered in your Sentinel Profile before writing your lists to your scanner. Using location, on a list, but without location details entered for Departments & Sites will cause you to get the "nothing to scan" error message. Even if your departments (and any sites for trunked systems) have correct location information, but your location, in the profile, is either blank, or has the wrong location (or too short of a range), will also generate 'nothing to scan errors'.
Have you tried the list Enforcer attached above (after making sure that you have your correct location and desired range entered in your profile?
