BC125AT: uniden bearcat bc125at frequency centering question

hi guys i had a BC125AT scanner, today i tried to store MANUALLY frequency 161.6 (channel20 marine) but the scanner shift automatically to 161.6025 and cannot stay on 161.6000.
i noticed that if i search with the SVC shortcut in the marine section i can find the frequency 161.6000 centered under channel 20 and i can even save it in the bank.. now i dont understand why if i try to save the frequency manually the scanner shift automatically to 161.6025. i noticed that this happens on various frequencies..
is there a way to fix this?

It's close enough that it won't matter.

thanks for the expanation.. so it is band plan related to the spacing, cause i switched to canada band and i can tune correctly the frequency in manual mode.. i think they should update the manual mode to tune freely instead the band plan selected..
