By any chance does anyone know the plug barrel size for the HP1 need to make a plug for my car and dont want to wait a few weeks for one to be delivered

It's not a Barrel plug at all, but the cable can be ordered directly from Uniden Bearcat Warehouse, OR from scannermaster.com The USB-A end of the cable can just be plugged in to a USB/Cigar adapter for use in your car. It's only a few days to get one.
The HP-1 does indeed require a barrel plug for power, the newer HP-2 uses USB for power.

The plug is an EIAJ Type-3 (4.75mm OD, 1.7mm ID).
If you go to Amazon, eBay etc. they have these, be sure it is a nominal 6v, center positive adapter.

And be sure you get center positive. A lot of European and Asian equipment use center negative, especially audio equipment.
