Can't wait to give it a shot, Rick - looks great so far
Here's some background on the currently available Unitrunker release.fireSAR said:I don't have much trunking in the areas I live, will it recieve on conventional radios systems? what scanner do I need to attach to my puter? is there a program for conventional radios? either way where do I get it?
About the same.Liverdog said:What do you see as far as the CPU loading is concerned as compared to the previous releases?
No cap but you eventually hit a wall in terms of CPU load. You should be able to monitor 5 systems on common hardware. The limit for most folks will be usable inputs.Liverdog said:tell us about running multiple instances. Is there a cap on the number of sites/systems that can be concurrently monitored?
No ... but you're only running one program - with multiple windows and decoding sessions (I should post some screenshots to illustrate this). There are no plans to allow two machines to share data.Liverdog said:Will database files be shared?
I'll answer with an example.cg said:Just looking to clarify something. If I want to monitor 3 Zones of the same system, will the results all modify a single database or will it require 3 copies of files?
It's a multi-windowed program. You can maximize or resize each window to your liking.brandon said:can this still be run at full screen using ALT+Enter like the command line version?

Years ago I previewed a commercial visualization tool that was targeted towards telecom and network security that provided this type of capability. I recall Ian Wraith (FTrunk) had also expressed a desire for this type of feature. The Skyrails demo videos that appeared on uTube last year re-kindled my interest.morfis said:Good to see you've taken this idea onboard. Any particular reason for using Skyrails?
How is the data being exported for use with Skyrails? In what format?

The export file is Netdraw VNA format. Any program that understands VNA should work. Skyrails does not appear to support VNA node properties but there are ways around that. It is NOT a tool for the faint of heart - as there is no documentation.
