After downloading the latest Unitrunker application I having an issue with startup. When starting the application it brings up the Unitrunker Splash Screen but then closes out of the application. I've tried removing and reloading several times and it still does the same thing. The Splash Screen lasts for about 2 seconds and then it completely shuts down.

Any ideas about what I'm doing wrong?

I’m running Windows XP Pro.

Thanks

JR - I have no idea. Let me review some old code and get back to you.

Thanks for the research. Let me know if you find anything.

Bob;

Try this ...

Open a command window. chdir to the folder where the Uniform.exe file is located. Run the program by typing "Uniform" in the command window. Look for any error messages as it starts up and shuts down. Since it was run from a command window, the error messages should remain on screen after the program exits.

Also try this ...

Rename your Uniform.cfg file to something like Uniform.cfg.bak. Now try starting the program.

Well running from the command prompt did the same thing. Started to run then shut down with an error message. Next I tried your second suggestion and it worked.

What did that do to fix the issue?

Thanks for the help!!!

In the absence of a configuration file, the program reverts to defaults. Some option - perhaps a receiver setting - that it didn't like. Please post your CFG file ... should be a clue there.

Will do. I'm at work but I'll do that when I make it home.

Although I've been able to get the program to run I'm still having trouble detecting the slicer on COM1 port. Not too sure why that's the case. I have run Unitrunker in the past without issues, but this has been a while back. Now it will not detect the input of the data slicer. I've gone through the setup instruction several times and still can't seem to locate the issue. I'll keep trying.

Thanks for all the help!

You must be the only person using the slicer input feature. I stopped supporting it a while back because (a) few people used it and (b) those that did reported a lot of problems - including but not limited to BSOD. I haven't tested this feature myself in ages.

I've now moved to the audio input on my computer. I think that should work, but I still need to test. I did use a slicer a year or so ago and it worked great.

I let you know what I find.

Well the audio input is much better. Just about 100% quality most of the time.

Thanks for the help!
