These federal agencies often employ the same NAC or PLs on a nationwide basis. Somebody posted a link to a bunch of So-Cal US Govt/military frequencies with their NACs and PLs. You might compare some of those and figure it out.

A bank robber dressed like Gilligan robbed the Comerica Bank just about a 1/2 mile away from my door this afternoon. I didn't hear a peep out of the FBI.

FBI typically doesn't respond to bank robberies anymore if they ever did at all. Unless it's big.

Must be TV legend.

The Los Angeles FBI has a special team that responds to bank robberies. They even have their own tac frequencies. I used to hear the San Francisco FBI respond to bank robbery alarms in the 70s and 80s. They referred to these calls as a Code 30. It was obvious where they were going; because the dispatcher often mentioned the institutions by name. Soon after we heard descriptions of the suspects on the air and we knew why too.

Today, I heard just the local police department running the same kind of radio traffic. County Comm put out an APB to surrounding agencies about 15-20 minutes later. Bank robbery is still a federal offense and still not a peep out of the FBI...

Where have you been?
Federal Bureau of Investigation - What We Investigate
Where have I been? Well I've been a cop for the last 9 years. Also been involved with/responded to plenty of bank robberies. None of which Gmen responded to.

Yeah they investigate them...but they don't just show up like on TV.

You did notice bank robberies were #8 out of 8 on the priority list didn't you? Agencies up here investigate the bank robberies more than the Feds do.

Well, back on topic again... It seems the 413.6375 was rebroadcasting the traffic of Tracy PD dispatch?

I'll have to figure this one out.

Unless that's a West Coast issue, they respond all the time out here in the East. Bank Squads are part of the C-06 Units and usually are assigned the channel name of C-06 as well ;)

How strong or weak was the signal on 407.1375 ?

That has begun to be reported as USPS but with a NAC of $482
if the signal was weak, the NAC might have falsed to $3C4

Hearing:

407.1375 P25 ENC NAC: 3C4
413.6375 P25 ENC NAC: 830
417.1125 P25 (Had NAC, couldn't catch it)

Any ideas?

I thought image at first too. Regular freq is 453.975 with same 830 NAC. It was fairly strong signal.

It was weak from where I was. From what I undestand, there is a repeater on mt diablo (which is close) so the signal should have been much stronger.

There have been reports of hearing same freq with possible activity from USPS in Sacramento area which is likely it.

Which Scanner? my GRE-600 , for the VHF and UHF Federal has images
in the [VHF] 152 into the 164's and UHF 453 & 460 into the 406-420 band

I seem to recall the UHF images [PSR-600] were based on around 42.5 Mhz

One thing I do, to rule out an image is carry a 2nd/3rd Scanner [diff make/model]

Unfortunately images are a problem, altho they can be handy.

I remember my Local [Boston area] FD on 483 t-Band would also RCV a Towing Co from 46x Mhz ! ARGH, well add 21.x Mhz to the 483 and listen to the 50x Mhz and Viola, no more interference.

Image. I've had the same problem in the Tracy area.

SoCalFedCom

A few northern frequencies are listed at the bottom of the page...
