Using Close Call, How Do I lockout 162.0-163.0 range?

It is picking up the WX station band, and I have no idea how to avoid them during a close call search, without locking out the whole band.

There any way I can just skip that freq range, while doing a close call search?

Thank you!

After you told me that, I was also able to learn that you can program the certain freq range as well via that option!
Go into the broadcast options, program band 0-9, I did 0. Set the freq range for 162.0-163.0, and turned that on.

Works like a charm now! Thank you

I would stick with doing what freqseeker suggested. There are services between 162.0 and 163.0 that are not NOAA and may be of interest.

I did do what he suggested, but I was still getting the WX stations still, the signal was so strong that it was stopping on the nearby frequencies, and not on the actual wx station frequencies. (after I did what freqseeker suggested)

I even did ATT, and still no luck. So that is why I chose to do the freq range.

Using a https://www.diamondantenna.net/x3200a.html antenna approx. 25 feet up in the air.
So my RX is probably a little too good, lol.

It's the scanners receiver chip that are the problem. It has internal mixing products that makes it receive a strong station on other nearby frequencies, like +/- 125KHz, 350kHz, 600KHz, and many more. The actual frequencies change with the IFX setting and filter settings like Normal/Invert. I did a test with a -60dBm signal and then tuned the scanner lower in frequency in 5kHz steps and you can hear the original signal frequency on many nearby frequencies.

It only takes a few moments each time you use your scanner to temporarily lock out the annoying frequencies. As others have suggested, if you lock out the range, you might miss other traffic.
