Is anyone having success using the TRX on the TDHS District 7 NXDN system? I am having limited success with what is currently in the database.

460.1875 is showing a RAN of 23
TG 57300 is Robertson County-Wide Fire

It's a very complex system.

Licensing is a mixture of county frequencies and those of the system provider, Greer Communications. Some frequencies are mixed between sites, making the system even more confusing. Businesses are inter mixed with public safety communications, making things even more interesting.

Would suggest searching 451-455 Mhz and 460-465 Mhz bands, and logging everything you hear (RAN codes, frequencies, users, etc.).

Start listening to the system as just conventional frequencies.

And please report out here in the forums.

Several years ago I lived in the area and it was only with a concentrated effort that I ever got to the point where I thought I had the old LTR Passport analog system figured count.

Only with a concentrated effort is this system going to be figured out.

I know there are a couple of guys in the area that are trying to solve the same mystery.

One thing I have noticed - the RAN codes being used are unique to one specific site and they match!!!

This may help greatly in figuring things out...

Most of the LTR system should be fully converted over, and the licenses get even more complex as they include Municipal Systems, County Systems, including School Districts, the State DHS District 7, and the telecomm that is the service provider/engineer for the whole monster. Its almost as much fun as Sevier County systems!

I was in Robertson County today and the TRX-1 performed poorly. I had programmed the system several different ways and still missed most of the radio traffic. Even trying to monitor the frequncies as conventional didn't help. So either the database is still missing some frequencies or the TRX still has problems.

Finally made some progress by deleting all frequencies as shown in the database and adding only frequencies where I can confirm NXDN voice traffic on the frequency and the RAN number. I have my 436 sitting beside the TRX-1 with all of the frequencies from the database as a control.

I did notice in the database that Dickson site 6 and Whitehouse site 23 have some of the same frequencies listed. Would sites so close together share the same frequencies even with different RAN numbers? I am receiving 460.1875 with a RAN of 23, but it is also listed under the Dickson site.

There are several talkgroups in the 57000 series not yet in the database that I am working on identifying. I think some of them could be Sumner County related.

Get em, BG! Would be great to have more Sumner County in the database.

Anybody know anything about Cheatham County Fire and EMS? I've not heard any traffic at all on them - they're listed as conventional freqs in the DB but I'm wondering if they've gone NXDN as well.

Which frequencies are working for you (RAN and frequencies) for Robertson County?

On this system the RAN is same as site number.

Regarding Dickson and Whitehouse sites... they could use same frequencies but not likely.

This system is going to require "boots on the ground" effort. Everyone's work on this one is MUCH appreciated!!!

Hey YGG - let me say thanks again for all the effort you've put into this system.

I'd like to help but haven't ever messed around with DSD+/SDR/dongles/magic before - what would I need to help decode?
