Things on VHF are picking up, tonight I was listening to police in Ky on 155.5800, the first out of state activity since last winter

I'm surprised, tropo is much more common in summer although not unheard of in winter.

Not sure exactly but around 125 miles, thats with antenna sitting on a 6 foot high fence
