Big shout out to our Comm Center Supervisor Sean Bacon.
With his leadership, 2021 is an exciting year for our Comm Center as we expand and transition to a new radio system which will include new dispatch consoles and improved functionality. In our opinion, this is the "Year of the Comm Center."

FWIW, I've been back in Seattle for the week and caught a bunch of Airlift traffic on their KCERS talkgroup that I don't recall ever hearing when I lived there.

Here are some more sites for the WSDOT system in Easteren WA. Waiting for them to start switching over. They were doing the testing in Oct and Nov and then stopped and nothing since. Understand they are having difficulty at one of the sites they picked near Odessa in Lincoln County and that brought all testing to a halt.

Here is a pic of the site at the Schragg Rest Area. EB I-90 at MP198 if you are ever traveling that way. It's right out behind the Rest Area.

That antenna is for the 800mhz LTR system. Have another pic somewhere of the tower and they have changed it. They took the antenna off the top of the tower and removed the top section. They side mounted that antenna on the north leg of the tower down about 10 ft. and then mounted the 700mhz on the south leg at the top.

edit: related information. The site I'm monitoring is site id 110. This is incorrectly shown in the RR database as system id 0x3e. It is currently system id 0x41. I believe it was changed at some point. (it was originally 0x41, then 0x3e, and now back to 0x41).

Quiet as a tomb in SW region. Still using old system. I see a couple affiliations this week on Pro96com but not transmissions. Someday……

It's not that it is incorrectly shown in the database but more that, the powers to be at Harris changed the affiliation somewhere along the line and it just hasn't been updated in the database.. Here is the data that I got from the system in June 2021.

More activity caught this week and last week. A couple of all calls and console tests, seem to be initiated elsewhere but lighting up the site closest to the traffic mgmt center in Vancouver.

Anyone seeing much activity in South Central or Olympic Region? Just looking to start identifying some talkgroups so I can preprogram my scanners and G5. Still pretty quiet in SW Region other than some occasional testing, some from other regions. Last week I heard 60017 testing in the Vantage area..

It's still not very active in King County. There's only a few active channels and they're DOT transpo units. I've heard some related WDOT-maintenance channels but it's not very active. I still haven't heard Airlift NW on the simulcast down here.

Airlift NW have been pretty active on the DOT system recently they are on the TG of 60810. I caught them on the King County Simulcast & Devils Mountain. The sites in the NW region has been pretty active especially when the weather is active.

Thanks for the info! Yesterday took a trip up north to verify some info on some SW, Olympic and NW Region sites. I expected to hear more conversation, but didn't hear alot. I get the feeling they have not moved over to P25 system fully yet up there and are still on the EFJ system. Maybe waiting till the other regions are ready to go?
Anyway did hear a few tests on 60800, 60102, 60301
