Could be wrong, but it sounds like Wake Forest, Rolesville and WSO using the new P25 system TG 46848 as Event 10 as they search for a suspect in an incident this afternoon.

Little update on the Wake County Switch...I caution you that the system is still in the setup/testing phase and the information below may change, that said, here is what I know so far.

Attached is a list of new Wake P25 talkgroups, nearly 200 of them to date, heard or seen in Unitrunker and Pro96Com during the system setup/testing phase.

Column 1 is the TGID, Column 2 is the RID recorded in the setup/testing phase, and Column 3 is a guess of possible usage based on the RID. The usage was determined by the RID when it matches the range of known Viper RIDs or based on verbal comms heard, they are only a guess and may change whenever the system is actually in use.

Known frequencies, the LCN for them, and traffic logged to date, are listed below;

00-0099 851.6250 i v d t
00-0285 852.7875 v d p
00-0313 852.9625 v d
00-0343 853.1500 Alt
00-0393 853.4625 Alt v d
00-0467 853.9250 Alt
00-0473 853.9625 Cntrl
00-0713 855.4625 v

v = voice, d = data, t = telephone interconnect, i = system ID, p = private calls

No, that is the old Motorola Type II Wake County TRS, not the new system. The new P25 control channel is 853.9625, and TGIDs are in the 46800 to 47400 range, with RIDs in the 183xxxx and 184xxxx range mostly.

Where can I find the complete P25 info for Wake? Is the updated info in the RR database yet? Do I have to look on Digital Frequency Search?

The system is not yet active so it is not in RR, changes may be made before it comes online, the past month or so there has been almost no voice traffic. The licenses were posted in the early days of this thread, so you can see the frequencies licensed P25 to wake county, and I'm sure DFS lists them, but neither list the control, alternate and voice channels. Once it becomes active (probably later this year) it will be updated in the RR database.

That said, here is what I follow using Unitrunker v2 right now, but we do not know if this will change when the system becomes active.

Now, All I am hearing from them is static. I still have them as Motorola Type II Smartzone which is probably why. I will be glad, when I can delete that system, and switch over to the P25 system.

Another 12 talkgroups added to the testing/setup stage, total I have recorded now stands at 283. An official with RPD has said they have completed most of the reprogramming and there will be an increase in encryption, but not totally encrypted.

An increase in encryption, just at RPD?
