Hi All,
I'm a Reporter for the wildfire reporting app Watch Duty. We've taken the wildfire reporting scene by storm, having started in California and expanding last year into the western states. We're looking for volunteer Reporters and Contributors here in Arizona to help gather intel to be pushed to the app. The duties of a reporter are to post updates in the app to all users in the reporting area. They gather and disseminate information from official sources, contributors, and Watch Duty tools to generate incidents for users while working within Watch Duty’s code of conduct. Reporters gather information from all the same sources contributors do. A "contributor" gathers/gleans the intel and pushes it to the reporter to be published on/in the app.
Send me a DM if this sounds like something you'd like to be a part of. Ideally, you're an active scanner listener, maybe run an emergency incident reporting site or you're even an active duty first responder or dispatcher. We're hoping to get people on board and trained for the upcoming fire season.
Here's a link to our website and a video showing how fires are received and posted to the app: Watch Duty - Stay Safe From Wildfires When Seconds Count
Again, hit me up with any questions you may have. Cheers!
